Alycia’s grin softened a bit at the mention of Chloe’s mother, her head nodding in agreement, “My step-mom would totally turn my room into like… a plant nursery or something,” She laughs, her face scrunching up a bit, “She’s been pushing for me to move out and stuff, you know be an adult or whatever…” Her shoulders shrug, think her attempt at connecting with Chloe may have been handled a little better, but she couldn’t help but try, “So I think I get it, feeling put out a little? Home sick definitely.” She mutters as she nods, biting at her lip, “But hey, no place closer to home than Camp Half-Blood right?”

She couldn’t be sure that her mother thought Chloe was ready for adulthood, but apparently she was ready to live anywhere but home. Camp wasn’t new or scary or different, but it would still be a change when she watched most people leave once summer ended. “At least she considers you to be an adult. Some parents have difficulty with that concept. My mom is busy and tends to get stuck in her own head, so it’s not that bad being out of the house.” Thinking of camp as home was something she consciously tried to do and hopefully it was working. “Definitely less scary than a college dorm room.”
