How's Damien??
Why do you think I know someone named Damien? I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned anyone by that name on this blog before…

How's Damien??
Why do you think I know someone named Damien? I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned anyone by that name on this blog before…
chloe's blog talks about "talking about atypicals with a mind reader"... huh?
Do you mean Sam’s blog? Right, yeah, I forgot to mention that her blog is mostly fiction. She writes short stories and stuff. And she was sweet enough to name a character after me :)
How do you stay happy with the work you have created?
I think you accept it for what it is. Nothing is ever going to be perfect and you can spend your entire life tweaking or working on a piece. I think the most important thing is seeing your work for what it is. I don’t know that I’m always happy with what I create, but I’m always learning and growing and that makes me happy.
Hi Chloe! you're blog has brought back the artist in me who escaped somewhere from the stress of college planning. Do you have a favorite medium to work with? also do you have a medium you really wish you could use but cant seem to get the hang of? oh and one more thing!: i saw that you mentioned you use a lot of oil paints and i think might like the artist leonid afremov
Eee, that’s so nice! I’m so glad to hear that.
I really love working with clay. Using my hands in that way is really satisfying. I’ve been trying out watercolor more and more recently and it is...frustrating. I’m definitely not a natural.
Chloe!! Have you heard of Cherrico Pottery? He has a Facebook page where he posts livestream of him shaping and glazing beautifyl and unique pieces and I'm P sure he has the world record for most pots thrown on a kick wheel in an hour! Hes a super cool dude and I thought you'd enjoy his content! It always relaxes me to watch his vidoes
I haven’t! That sounds really awesome, I will definitely check it out. Thanks!
Hey! Does Sam have a blog? Ps. You're amazing 💗💗💗💗💗
She does! She’s not on tumblr because, well, honestly I think the level of interaction on here kind of freaks her out. But she has a wordpress!
How do you know Sam?
Hey Chloe! How do you feel about Jackson Pollock? Also what are your top five music jams for whenever you're in a creative mood?
I love Jackson Pollock. He’s one of those artists that I feel like you have to see in person. I remember seeing a photo of one of his paintings when I was a kid and thinking it was pretty dumb, but standing in front of one of his works just fills me with awe.
Hm, I think right now, these are the songs I’m playing most in my studio:
Hard Feelings/Loveless by Lorde
I’ll Be Fine by Clairy Browne
Holocene by Bon Iver
Sunday Best by Augustana
Don’t Stop by The Rolling Stones
As you can see, my creative mood has been bouncing around a lot recently. I’ve been experimenting with some new mediums.
You're so adorable! I'm honestly in love with you.
Oh my goodness, you’re too sweet! Thanks 💗
Hey! I saw someone asked about if you would ever post a video. Can I suggest a timelapse of you drawing/painting/etc? I love this blog and your art! <3
You’re so sweet! I don’t always love showing people works in progress but I’ll definitely consider it!

Hey chloe! I love every frame a painting too!! Have you ever made any short films or plan to in the future?
I haven’t! I honestly have NO idea what I would ever make a movie about but I guess you never know!
Hey I love your blog!! Do you listen to any podcasts or specific YouTube channels? You seem like a V cool person :D
Hi! Thank you! Can’t say I’m much of a podcast person. I sometimes have a hard time focusing on what people are saying in real life because of this...thing that I have, so listening to people talk in headphones is pretty much a no-go for me. But in terms of YouTube channels, my absolute favorite is Every Frame a Painting. It is such an amazing, in-depth look at art in film.
Will you ever post any of your original works on here? I would love to see what you can do!!
I have actually posted an original before! You can see it here. I’ll maybe post more of my painting in the future, but I’m never happy with pictures of my sculpture or object work. I feel like it needs to be seen in person to really see it, you know?

Hey Chloe, what's ur preferred / favorite medium for painting? Have you tried painting with ink before, or are you more of an acrylic/oil person? I paint a lot so I've been looking for new mediums to use besides watercolor u-u any recommendations?
Oh gosh, I have a friend who would be better at answering this but he’s not here so I’ll do my best. I’ve been working mostly with oils and acrylics, which has been really nice. The texture and body of oil is something that’s really comforting to me as someone who primarily sculpts.
My friend has been spending the past few months trying to get me to paint with watercolors and it is so hard! I get frustrated that once I make a choice with watercolor that’s basically it - I can’t paint over it like I can with oils. So kudos to you for doing watercolor!
I know this isn’t painting, but I love charcoal. It’s so much more visceral than pencil - using it to me is like a middle place between drawing and painting. So maybe give that a try!
