when I started The Count of Monte Cristo I was like "holy cow, this book is so big! the plot must be REALLY complicated!" and i've learned that while the plot is, indeed, complicated, a significant contributing factor is that alexandre dumas literally could not stop going on narrational sidequests
I love how in almost every adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo" the Abbe's last words are something like "Remember, do not let vengance consume you. Promise me you won't seek revenge. Justice is served by God" or smth like this, while in the book, the literal source material, he just goes "Find the treasure on the island of Monte Cristo. Get the money" and then dies.
This book is so unhinged, I can't even. It's pure chaos. Don't let anyone ever convince you that it's sophisticated classic literature. Dumas loved drama, schemes, adventures and dumb ironic humor.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Im on artfight!!!!
Fun fact. Nothing can stop you from finding the oldest art your friend has ever made on their blog and reblogging it.
What do you mean āchatā is now referring to ChatGPT and not twitch chat? What? What? What the fuck? No?
When I address chat I am speaking to a presumed Greek chorus of real human people shitposting on their lunch break, not a machine that devours lakes to covert electricity into slop.
something something extremely sexy when magic users resort to physical violence. yeah i have the power of god and anime on my side but i also have THESE HANDS. i cast Punch You In The Face. i take my magic staff through which i channel the vast energies of the elements and the cosmos and i cast Severe Concussion And Skull Fracture. casting time for xenoglossy too long, chose the quicker route of Stab You In The Throat.

If someone ever tells you a certain song is important to them you should turn it up and lay on your bed and close your eyes and really listen to it even if its 10 minutes long because at the end you will know that person much better I think
My love for this post is unbelievable.
āRaw milk is better for you as long as you boil itā so true bestie now imagine if we could like. Super boil it. To really get all the bacteria out. And if we could do that quickly and efficiently. Imagine that.
[Image ID: Tumblr tag reading: #raw chicken is so healthy for you my favorite way to eat it is heated in a pan until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees f /End ID]
You know i googled how to pasteurize milk recently, having previously thought that it was basically just boiling it. Turns out 'super boiling' it not a great description because it's actually more like 'gently steam it to a temp far lower than boiling for enough time to kill any bacteria without having to boil it so it doesn't lose it's consistency and stuff' which is very annoying to achieve on your stove with a handheld thermometer but easy with the right machinery. So if these people really are just boiling it they're probably ending up with some fucked up milk, because they're scared of big words and technology i guess
the way i still get notes for a piece of art i made a million years ago omfg... maybe i should remake it. Maybe-
"why is the character like that" >look inside character >it's the author's subconscious attempt to love themself
this is meant positively by the way. sometimes you love the character so much you end up putting a piece of yourself in it to learn how it is to love yourself without realising and thats ok.
i have awesome memory issues and forgot i've literally drawn this scene like 3 times so you guys get to see it again. be prepared for the next time i forget. in the 4th installment they kill the devil
Boss makes a dollar I make a dime that's why I write homoerotic fanfictions on company time
