One of my Christmas presents this year was an absolutely adorable ceramic Leo figurine. I’m unsure of the brand, as I can’t find much information on this item in Japanese. It’s very old, likely released during the original run of the first anime. (1965/1966)

I remember seeing this one come up for sale a few months ago since it was reasonably cheap. Ceramic items like these are rare to find for how old they are. They’re just not built to last. However, one of my family members was able to get it for me. They were able to get it for a good deal due to the dirt and paint loss on it, and I had fun restoring it.

I didn’t completely restore everything, as I still wanted the item to show some age, but I’m very happy with how it turned out. If anything, restoring it has made me even more attached to this present. Happy holidays, everyone!
