Hi! I know I haven’t posted/reblogged anything in a while, but I decided that I’m going to be moving over to another blog. I wont be active on this one anymore, instead I’ll be on @psychicsmybeloveds ! But do keep in mind this will be a multifandom blog rather than just an UTDR one. I still love UTDR and will still post about it, I just wanted a space where I could post about all of my interests. The way sideblogs work honestly frustrate me so I’d rather just have one blog. There is something kind of Gender about how unapologetically masculine and strong Susie is.

Some of the ribbon dialogue implies she used to wear things like ribbons in 1st grade:

and unlike all the other characters, she absolutely REFUSES to wear the ribbons at all, to the point of getting suspicious of the Spaghetti Code for having ribbons in it.

She also uses the first pronoun “ore” in Japanese, which is an incredibly masculine, tough pronoun that generally only boys/men use. But on a handful of occasions when caught off-guard or uncomfortable, she’ll use “atashi”, a feminine pronoun.

One notable occasion:

…is when she first meets Toriel and tries to act “polite”.

She uses “atashi” on purpose in a way that makes it clear she hasn’t gauged if Toriel is going to be cool about her use of a masculine pronoun (and swearing, and general roughhousing, and…)

But when Toriel says she can relax, Susie goes back to using “ore”.

…which indicates that the masculine pronoun/behavior is what’s most comfortable for Susie.
