«As always, I carry your letters with me. What joy it will be to pull out a letter of yours and assure myself that you love me; or at least to gaze at the hand and the writing of him, whom only I am able to love!» (3/27/1830)
EXPLAIN. NOW.
We were friends…? Very intimate and close friends?
GAE😏
Appearance and style.
According to the personal description data entered in a passport issued to Chopin on 7 July 1837 in connection with his visit to London: his eyes were grey-blue, his hair, brows and beard were blond and his complexion - fair, his face was oval. His height was medium.
In the memory of his pupils and friends, his image was subject to modulations stemming from the difference in time and moment of his life when somebody’s memory made a record of his appearance. Wilhelm von Lenz remembers the first impression from the beginning of the eighteen forties: “A young man of medium height, slender, skinny, his face of matt paleness with very distinctive features and unusually exquisite manners. So far, I have never met such an elegant person in my life”.
Chopin’s pupil, Zofia Rosengardt, saw her teacher in a similar but not identical light. She described her first impression in her diary: “I have always imagined him to be tall, slim, pale with black hair and a large collar; I saw a minute silhouette with such beautiful blond curls, and such noble features so full of expression but so pale, wan and thin that it seemed the smallest breath of wind would topple him over”.
An especially spontaneous, lively and authentic description of Chopin was created by Franz Liszt to whom Chopin dedicated his Etudes op.10. “The look in his blue eyes was rather bright than dreamy, the smile was gentle and it never turned bitter, his complexion had some transparent delicacy, his wavy blond hair surrounded the face that was graced with a shapely nose. He was not very tall, his movements were quick and graceful, his voice had a slightly muffled quality, sometimes becoming very soft; the whole of the posture was marked by some innate sense of elegance and refinement.” (Prof. Mieczysław Tomaszewski)
URGHHHHHH WHY DOES HE LOOK SO SLAY???
Ohh how I wish to gaze into those blue bright eyes…🧿👅🧿and listen to his soft and muffled voice👄
you should check out historyconfessions_ on instagram theres so many nice things ppl have said
about u on there🙏🙏🙏🙏
Och… I want to pluck my eyes out, dice them up, and put them in a meat grinder.
How am I supposed to eat mayonnaise now?
I think I shall be addressing some of the more… appropriate ones, in the future.
Oh shoot, I MIGHT’ve said some NICE stuff about you on that account too. SORRY Chopin. 😭
“i want a boyfriend”, no you want to exchange handwritten love letters with a dead romantic era composer, don’t settle for less
REAL. SO REAL. 💯✨
Fanart for that one cursed chopin x liszt video on Twitter by dmishoka :3

Bro's insanely pretty
YES. 🩷🤤 I just wanna *censored* 👁️👄👁️
never insist a piece is two four in front of its own author
bit more context
@chopinski-official 😳
It’s hardly my fault he didn’t understand the concept of rubato. The tempo may temporarily change, but that doesn’t mean the time signature has.
Giacomo enjoyed his little games with me. I did not.
I know he’s handsome😏😋

First of all, thank you for everyone’s support from my last post🥹 It’s mean a lot’s to me and motivates me to draw more of these composers for y’all to see.

I think some of y’all have been waiting for him.
Based in an idea by my twitter’s mutual ,Thank you so much !
———
Robert Schumann and Franz “The Little Mushroom” Schubert reacting to their own Portraits.
These pictures was taken at my Music School, I’ve been walking passed their Portraits every weekend so it gave me an idea.
And Yes ,their portraits got placed next to eachother.Robert must be very gladful to be close to his Idol.
There are portraits of Mozart, Rachmaninoff , Chopin and a bust statue of Bach in my school too. So maybe there’ll be a continuation to this 😉
——-
💔Hector Berlioz in Maid day event + Log
Another composer some of you guys might have been waiting for.
Context : there’s this event in Japanese illustrator community called メイドの日 or “Maid day” being hold on 10th of May every year, where people will post their drawing of characters in maid costume. So ,as a follower of many jp illustrator,I can’t help but jump into this bandwagon with this iconic maid costume guy.
The four romantic composers gang made their cameo here too.
——
Robert Schumann(Cobalt memories parody)
As the title said , this one is a parody of the scene from Harumakigohan - Cobalt Memories.
The rock part is actually a paint over of photograph I took while I’m on a holiday trip.
The lyrics or story of this song actually has nothing to do with Schumann or the other composers. It’s just my weird idea of combining two completely unrelated things I like with eachother .(you will see more of these in the future.)
——-
Frédéric Chopin and Wolfgang Amedeus Mozart reacting to their own Portraits.

Literally part two of Schumann and Schubert one
Sorry for a lot’s of reflection 😭😭

Part two of my fav exhibits in the FC Musuem! 🇵🇱
1. Chopin’s pencil ✏️ (Before 1848)
Chopin used pencils not only to make notes in his diary, but also for drawing and to add comments to his pupils' scores. He was known to break them in anger while giving piano lessons. As Frederick Niecks, one of Chopin's first biographers, wrote: 'Madame Rubio [... informed me that Chopin was very irritable, and when teaching amateurs used to have always a packet of pencils about him which, to vent his anger, he silently broke into bits!]
I’m sure he’d break all the pencils and chairs if I were his student. 🤣
2. Chopin’s tie pins and pendant 📍
'Impeccably dressed, he wore, after the latest fashion, a navy-blue tailcoat with gold buttons, fastened over a white waistcoat, pearl-coloured trousers with clasps. A long tie, fastened with a diamond pin, encircled his neck' - wrote Chopin's pupil Georges Mathias
Choppy was very fashionable! ✨
3. A copy of Chopin’s armchair in his last apartment 🪑
This rosewood armchair is the only authentic piece of furniture belonging to Fryderyk Chopin that survived after the auction of items from the composer's last apartment. It was bought by Chopin's close friend, the artist Teofil Kwiatkowski.
4. Chopin’s portrait in 1843 (Teofil Kwiatkowski)
What a cutie!!! 😚
5. Chopin’s portrait (Franz Xaver Winterhalter, 1847-1861)
A portrait probably made after a pencil drawing that Winterhalter produced from nature on a May 1847. 👇🏻This one!
In a letter to his family, Chopin related: 'Yesterday I posed for Scheffer again, and the portrait is coming along. - Winterhalter has also done a small pencil one for my old friend Planat de la Faye (about whom I wrote to you once).- A very good likeness. Winterhalter is no doubt known to you by name, a good honest man of great talent'
😍😍😍
6. Chopin’s piano 🎹
Woah😚
7. Chopin on his deathbed😿 (Teofil Kwiatkowski, after 17 October 1849)
In this picture, besides Fryderyk, we see Princess Marcelina Czartoryska, Chopin's sister Ludwika Jedrzejewicz, Wojciech Grzymala, Fr Aleksander Petowicki and Kwiatkowski himself.
Aww🥹🥹🥹
8. Chopin’s travelling hat box 🎩
Choppy kept his hat in this box when travelling. He was known for his sartorial punctiliousness. In a letter to Julian Fontana, he wrote: 'apart from that, I forgot to ask you to have a hat made for me by my Dupont on your street. He has my measurements and knows what light ones I require. Have him give it this year's form, not overstated, because I don't know how you dress these days!’
Omg I don’t even know hat box is a thing, cute! 😍
9. Chopin playing the piano 🎹 (Teofil Kwiatkowski, 1847)
Urghh I love this sketch so much!! ❤️
