“I didn’t forget, I always figured that Dilan or Aeleus tossed you boys out before you ever got too far.” Xigbar replied. He had very vivid memories of his fellow guardsmen carrying both Isa and Lea out the castle and through the gate and literally throwing them into the street with a strict warning not to trespass on castle grounds again. Not strict enough though, since they apparently kept coming back.
“Most of us called her Subject X. Or just X.” Xigbar replied, “She seemed to like it when I called her Dandelion, which is a first for me, most people hate my nicknames.” He made note of the book in Isa’s hands, finding it odd that Isa would be that invested in the mysterious girl that he was apparently still looking for her.
“What’s your interest in her?”
"Oh they managed to on many occasions," Isa said with a thoughtful hum as he glanced around at other shelves. He was always hopeful for something he'd missed, because if there were dead ends here… he didn't really know where to look next.
"Dandelion, huh?" Perhaps it meant nothing, but he doubted it coming from Xigbar. "She's… an old friend. We made friends with her when we'd sneak into the castle."
There was nothing more, nothing less. He'd just wanted to make sure she was alright, because one time they'd managed to get in she was gone, and after that began their goal that resulted in them becoming Nobodies.
I still exist. XD I should be more active now that I have a new laptop! If anyone wants to continue what we had feel free to like this and I'll get to it, or like and I'll hop into your DMs for a plot! ♥

Never in his known life, previous or otherwise he felt this calm; this content…..this free. Xemnas was bound by Xehanort’s will but that will no longer lingered with in him. To be so aimless and without goals…it was freeing. The silence brought solace of all the noise, the weight of Xehanort’s will, so loud his previous life was. Now…a comforting silence. A good place to rest…to sleep.
Sleep, however would have to wait as Xemnas lifted his head to the sound of footsteps within the grass. An elder man that felt so familiar but yet not. Again, his heart reacted, it felt heavy.
Who was he? He had a name but who he was much more complicated. “To be honest…” he began. “I’m not really sure.” How could he answer that? “This is your realm, is it? I thought this world was long forgotten. A beacon of rest.” he canted his head to the side, his all too familiar silver hair resting upon his shoulder.
“What is the master of this realm called?”
"There are few who remember it still, it is not quite as forgotten as you might think."
Though his students had their own lives now, it was only he who resided here after everything. He was eyeing the stranger curiously. There was Darkness there, that the elder could tell. Eraqus wasn't as anti-Darkness as he had been before. Being that way had cost him everything. Slowly he was trying to see differently.
"You may call me Eraqus," he introduced himself with a little nod. "Is it strange that somehow...it feels like I know you already?"

“…” Bragi stared at Eraqus silently for a few seconds, admittedly a little stumped on how to respond to the statement and contemplated just running away. He probably could outrun his old classmate, and even if he could not, Bragi at least had the advantage of knowing his way around Radiant Garden. However, as the seconds ticked by, running away felt less and less like a viable action, so Bragi simple shrugged his shoulders and stood back.
“Uhm… Surprise?” He laughed nervously.
That was hardly appropriate. Maybe it was not too late for Bragi to run away. Yet his feet remained planted where they were, refusing to obey the silent instruction to escape. “What are you doing here?”
Of course every day he wished the others were still alive, but he hadn't expected for that to actually be the case. Now, Bragi was here when he should be in the graves with the others. Eraqus was thrilled on the inside of, but he did have more questions than answers.
"I've been looking for Xe," he said with a frown. "He went off on his Mark of Mastery exam, but... something's wrong. He should have been back by now. The Master doesn't even know I've started searching for him."
Or at least he hadn't at first. It had been a while now so he wouldn't be surprised if Master Odin knew now.
"What about you? How did you escape Baldr?" What did he know about everything until now?

Eraqus always gave him a convenient excuse to return home and end their fun abruptly. It was kind of annoying but Xehanort assumed it was because his parents were overprotective, and although he’d asked the dark haired boy about the issue, the teenager from another world felt his friend wasn’t telling him the whole story. But that was going to change once and for all today. The silver haired keyblade wielder’d opted to secretly follow Eraqus to uncover the secret.
The tanned male raised an eyebrows after observing his close friend enter the castle’s doors without a care in the world. If anything, it was obvious that the guards’d been awaiting Eraqus’ return to lead him inside. And as such, all the pieces of the puzzle finally began to fit together.
Xehanort, for his part, was going to wait outside patiently. Eraqus had to come outside eventually and he just was going face him the moment he did so. He had nothing better to do today, after all.
“I would certainly love to hear that explanation, His Highness. I hope you can give me a satisfactory answer this time around.” He replied calmly once he’d locked his gaze to his figure . It was obvious he wasn’t mad but he certainly deserved to hear the truth from the other teenager´s mouth.
Eraqus always tended to go off on his own and do things. Always had some sort of excuse to leave what they were doing. It wasn't because he wanted to. He'd wanted to tell Xehanort and their friends everything, but the more people who knew about it, the less privacy and safety he and the royal family had.
That's what all the secrecy had been about, but it was out of the bag now.
He smiled weakly at the title and rubbed the back of his neck. Glancing back at the castle from where he came, he looked at the guards who seemed to be watching intently just in case.
"Why don't you come in with me? I can show you around and tell you everything."
That way they could talk with no one listening in, and he could show his friend around.

She stood by his side as the two walked along a path, Kagome mostly following his lead as she trusted he knew where they were going. She stayed quiet for most of the journey too, lost in her thoughts as she still thought about how angry she had become at those villagers. She knew there was nothing more she could do though. A loud crack of thunder shook her from her thoughts, physically startling her and she grabbed the half demon’s hand as she glanced up at the sky. A drop of rain hit her in the face causing her to wince and she looked over to Inuyasha.
“Is there anywhere we can go?” The rain seemed to be picking up pace and the two of them had lost the only shelter they could’ve had thanks to that last village.
The villagers and what had transpired lingered in Inuyasha's mind as well, but it wasn't like they could change their minds. They believed what they believed about half-demons and while it pissed him off, nothing could be done.
Unfortunately, that did leave them short of a place to stay... and now it was starting to storm. There was a little flush when she grabbed his haori but he pushed it away and looked around, sniffing the air.
No villages close by, but he perked up when he spotted a cave. "Look over there. We can hide in there until it stops."
It was still a distance away, but he could carry her on his back and make a run for it there. He offered her his haori for now, so it would keep her dry and hopefully warm. "Here."
I exist, I swear. XD It's been an interesting week and I haven't been able to focus on anything. Been pretty low on energy too. Hopefully soon.

A sigh left Eraqus's lips as he stepped outside of the castle. He was finished with his duties as Prince for the day, which also included meeting another suitor. It was a well-kept secret on just who the Prince of Scala ad Caelum was, visitors to the castle usually sworn to secrecy, but there was a rumor that the Prince had no Darkness in his heart.
He tensed almost immediately after going down the steps and spotting his close friend. Was this just a coincidence, maybe he was checking out the castle? If that's all it was, the secret was definitely out now.
"Uh... hi, Xe. I can explain this," he said a little awkwardly in greeting.

All these years, Xigbar had been aware that it was not loyalty to Xemnas or the Organization that motivated Saïx throughout the whole debacle, although he had never quite figured out what it was that the younger man was truly after. Now, Isa’s inquiry about Subject X finally cleared up that little mystery and Xigbar had to admit to being just a little surprised.
“How the hell did you find out about her?” He questioned. “That was what we liked to call ‘classified information’. No one was supposed to know about her.” Xigbar remembered that Isa -and Lea of course- were constantly having to be thrown out of the castle after sneaking in, but he had never imagined that the pair had ever that far in. What else might they have stumbled on? Xigbar gritted his teeth and shrugged his shoulders.
“I know about as much about her as anybody else did.” He lied, “Poor thing just showed up one day with not a single memory in her head, not even her name.”
"You didn't forget all the adventures Lea and I had in this castle, did you Braig?" Granted a lot of them eventually ended in them getting kicked out, but not before he'd met her. "We met her in her cell back then but after... she was gone."
Isa potentially knew more than Lea now after years of going through Xehanort's research when he could. Lea had given up the search when Roxas and Xion came along - seemingly - but he never had. He'd come across other things in that time, but he'd been focused on finding who they called Subject X. Someone who became their friend even after just one visit. Then she disappeared, and they'd thought following the Apprentice might lead them to her.
"Somehow, I doubt that," Isa hummed as he held onto a book he'd found. "There are days you seemed to know more than even Xehanort about things. Didn't even have a name she went by while she was here?"

A wanderer is what he had become, aimless in destination and goals; Xemnas often just would drift between realms. He came upon a familiar yet not familiar place. Something in his new formed heart stirred quietly. It ached and throbbed and was it because of Terra? Or Xehanort? He did not know.
It was quiet here; peaceful even. Perhaps the quiet would bring some inner peace; a place where he can settle for a bit and try to understand his heart. The heart always was a complicated thing and despite his knowledge of it; he still didn’t fully understand it.
He settled upon an open field where it was a sea of vibrant green grass. The night sky was aimless as him; stars blanketed over head and the moon shined brightly.
What a peaceful place this was.
It was peaceful, but not a world without its own tragedies. There was only one resident of this world now, his apprentices all off doing their own thing now.
A hum left his lips when he felt someone else in his realm. They were familiar in ways and yet not. He set out from the castle to see if he could find and meet with them. The Master of Light was curious.
Eventually he came out to said field, and watched the cloaked figure from a distance. He felt like Terra, yet different. There was also resemblance to an old friend, but he could tell that wasn't it either.
"Who might you be?" Eraqus spoke out after a moment. "My realm does not get many visitors these days." And especially not ones who resembled those close to him.

“Nothing major. Anything about you that Lea thinks you’d want to share with me, yourself, he’s leaving for you to do so if you feel like it.”
Kairi offers him a soft, sincere smile, clasping her hands behind her back.
“I was just curious. But you don’t have to tell me anything about it, if you don’t really want to, and I’ll understand; I know some things can be difficult to talk about in the first place.”
Isa gave a nod, knowing Lea wouldn't have told anything too personal but he appreciated the confirmation. He looked ahead for a moment, deciding on what would be the best way to go about it. Then he had an answer.
"It was all done for a friend," he said honestly. "All of this... following Xehanort, Xemnas...and I still can't find them."
It didn't feel like he was any closer either, no matter how hard he tried. After all of this, though, he had no intention of giving up. He would find them, even if Lea had stopped looking.
