When it creeps:
• Foreboding — the air feels wrong before anything actually happens.
• Ominousness — silence that feels almost... purposeful.
• Misgiving — your instincts tugging at your sleeve, whispering, "Don't."
When it hits fast:
• Shock — your brain blanks
• Startled— your heart slams, you inhale
• Panic — thoughts fracture; your instincts beg for escape
When it lingers:
• Tension — jaw locked, shoulders up near your ears.
• Anxiety — background noise that lingers in every thought
• Dread — knowing something bad is coming and having to wait for it.
When it turns physical:
• Shivers — cold crawling up the spine.
• Sweat, dilated pupils, skin gone pale — your own body betrays you.
• Weakness — knees like jelly, grip unreliable.
When it overwhelms:
• Terror — too big to think around.
• Horror — something has gone wrong.
• Paralysis — body refusing orders.
When it distorts reality:
• Paranoia — patterns where there are none.
• Suspicion — every sound feels intentional.
• Unease — the sense of being watched without proof.

His name is Hanzo, and he's part of the 7th Division! I ship him with Tsurumi because he's my babygirl and I love crazy men.

BACKGROUND
Hanzo was born into a poor family. He did not go by that name at the time (his deadname has been lost), and was forced to steal as a child to feed his family, but soon enough that wasn't enough, and they sold him to a freakshow when he was 12. They dyed his hair pink through the use of beetroots, and he became known as the "Turnip Girl".
When the show started losing popularity, Hanzo had turned into a young adult. Once again, he was sold to someone else; this time, it was a rich Japanese man who was intrigued by his colorful hair. He forced Hanzo to work as a prostitute for him, but he hated it and tried to leave in secret many times, as well as trying to rob his "clients" to escape, and refusing service. This led to him being beaten up and whipped by the man who bought him until his back bled and he was unable to move.
Soon, he started offering his clients a special price, allowing them to punish Hanzo if he misbehaved, which led to him being beaten daily. But Hanzo had enough and killed one of those men, stole his gun, and shot both the client and the man who bought him multiple times until he was sure they were both gone. Then, he set the place on fire.
Hanzo was arrested and charged with a death sentence, despite still being a woman at the time: he was seen as such a dangerous individual that he could not be held anywhere else. He was brought to Abashiri prison, waiting to be executed. That was when Hanzo met Nopperabou and agreed to be tattooed, seeing it as an opportunity to escape and start a new life somewhere far away.
His escape was successful, and he managed to run away. He stayed by Ienaga's side, who had taken a liking to him. When Ienaga operated on herself to change her looks, Hanzo asked her if she could also operate on him, making him into the man he had always wanted to be, and she agreed.
After his recovery, Hanzo bid farewell to Ienaga. It was hard for him to hide with his bright pink hair, and he was not ready to part with it. Not even he knew why, but he felt as if a part of him would die if he were to cut them.
Unfortunately, that made him an easy target, and Lieutenant Tsurumi found him incredibly quickly. He was captured with ease, and Hanzo realised that the new life he had dreamt about was really just a dream. He accepted his faith, ready to be killed and his skin taken away from him, but something else happened.
Tsurumi had taken pity on him as he heard about his story, as well as noticed the scars (both on his back and his chest). He asked him to join the 7th Division and promised him a much better life than the one he lived up until now. He also offered him a new name, "Hanzo", that was much more befitting than his old one for a resilient warrior such as him.
Hanzo, taken aback by the offer and stunned by a kindness that he never really received until now, decided to accept. It was in that moment that he fell for Tsurumi.
Hanzo became one of Tsurumi's most trusted companions: he follows every order he's given by him without questioning, and he is ready to give his life for him. He hopes that when the Lieutenant's plans become reality, he will be able to live a peaceful life by Tsurumi's side as his companion (lover, even).
TRIVIA
Hanzo dyes his hair pink with the use of beetroots. Nobody knows why he keeps doing it, as it only makes him more visible when fighting. Hanzo says it's because it confuses the enemy, but it's a lie. He does it out of habit and doesn't want to stop, as Tsurumi said he liked his hair color.
Hanzo wears two small horn-shaped pins. and believes that by looking like a demon, he will be granted its strength in battle.
Hanzo has a lot of scars on his back, a result of his past history. The tattoos partially cover the scars, but they can't hide them completely. The only scars that cut the tattoos' lines are the surgery scars left by Ienaga.
Hanzo and Tsurumi ended up falling for each other and are in a very weird relationship. Neither of them has a clue how to label it exactly, but they do love each other dearly, although they try to keep it a secret. They're actually terrible at hiding it; everyone knows something is going on between the two.

«Why did you save me?» He asked, turning his head toward the puppet. Despite the darkness, Corvi realized he could see without trouble, almost as if the room was bathing in sunlight.
«Because I can do whatever I please, what a silly question.» Replied Arlecchino, before adding: «You are a masterpiece of human suffering. I could gaze upon you all day… and I will.»
Corvi shifted uncomfortably on the couch. «Are you going to keep me locked in here forever?» He murmured, dreading the answer he would receive.
«I would avoid giving me such ideas if I were you. I might follow through with them.»
The puppet laughed, a deep, loud, distorted sound that filled the room with fear.
«No, nothing like that. Au contraire, I have an offer for you — one I am confident you will not be able to refuse.» Arlecchino smirked, leaning toward Corvi, who silently stared back.
Corvo was a prodigy, an extremely talented Alchemist with a dream: to cure every disease and save as many lives as possible. Fate, however, is a cruel thing. Not only was he unable to save anyone, but he also failed to save himself.
Blinded by his own ambitions, he turned into a monster — a horrendous being of tainted Ergo that cannot die, no matter how hard he tries.
And as if things weren’t bad enough, Corvo found himself tied to a monstrous puppet, Arlecchino, whose only goal in his existence is to create art with the dead bodies of his victims.
