Longitudinal Programs for MCPHS Worcester
First off, what is a longitudinal?
A longitudinal program is a program specifically for those who want residency. It allows for all or majority of your APPE rotations to be within one hospital system. Our school partnered with several hospitals like UMass, Baystate, Lowell, and Yale hospitals so that select students can do majority of their rotations there.
Not every pharmacy school has this, but…

Pharmacy School Update
So, crazy things are happening. If you don’t know me, hi, how are you, I’m Deeb and I like to write about my pharmacy experience. I’m beginning to write this at like midnight. So whatever grammar mistakes I make I apologize beforehand!
Classes/Clubs/etc.
Therapeutics with antibiotics is an entirely new animal. I feel like this semester I don’t really have an “easy class” per se, and that is…

I graduated 4 YEARS ago?! WhAt?!
I graduated 4 YEARS ago?! WhAt?!
You heard right.
Your gal is getting old! I saw the FB notification of me posting up a picture of me wearing a cap I borrowed from my room mate at that time. WOW has time flown by or what?!
When I look back at it though, 4 years ago I was really in a state of confusion. I didn’t really know what I’d be doing at that time in terms of my career or even where I was going to live. I just recently…

The 3 Apps that SAVED me sis! A productivity post.
The 3 Apps that SAVED me sis! A productivity post.
Hello,
If you’re going to professional school that requires a lot of note taking, Powerpoints etc. If you have a problem with procrastinating, falling down that Youtube hole, or just hate focusing as much as I do…
Well, I have some apps for you to help you with that. Call it an app starter pack if you will! But my productivity has shot through the ROOF since I’ve started using these apps…

P1 Summer Update
Taking it one day at a time.
I feel out of my rhythm at the moment. I’m still a morning person, but recent events like starting a new job has thrown me off.
Right now, I don’t know if I’m going to able to adapt as fast. I feel like I’ve reversed to cramming the day before, and skipped some classes.
Background: I got a job at UMass and I’m loving it! It’s nice seeing the drugs I study take place…

Reflections after my first semester of pharmacy school
Reflections after my first semester of pharmacy school
The first semester flew by so fast!
If you don’t know, I’m currently a P1 at a 3 year accelerated program at MCPHS. MCPHS stands for Massachusetts college of pharmacy and health science. It’s a mouthful. I wish they could have picked something more concise, but hey. We all just say “MCP” here.
First off, I’m a work in progress. I in no way did I get a 4.0 GPA. However, I’m going to write this…

On dating,
So in total I’ve been in total with 5 relationships and definitely seen people in between. I’m not saying that I’m in any way an expert, nor am I a therapist. This post is simply because I think it’s fun to talk about relationships. If people can learn anything from what I write I’d be happy. I also apologize for any grammar mistakes I make.
Don’t be hard on yourself for staying in a relationship…

The unknown.
There is so much uncertainty. I’m personally dealing with struggles right now as I’m planning on applying to pharmacy school. I don’t know how I can do it, especially since I feel like my application is going to be so mediocre. There are people in WAY better situations than I am, and I don’t feel good enough. Though I haven’t even began my application yet, I’m already grasping the idea, “What if…

Hello again.
I was just reading my old posts today and I realized that the last time I wrote anything was… September 2016?!! WHATTT. It has been too long WordPress. I’m sorry for the feelings of neglect, but at the same time I guess I’ve been treating this blog like a diary… if life gets hectic I stop writing. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything to say. Stay tuned.

Rambling Late Night Thoughts 9/2/16
Rambling Late Night Thoughts 9/2/16
Feelings come and go. I honestly believe in that. It really does take work, effort, and time time keep feelings going. But I realize that as I keep at it and look back, it’s worth it. You want to know why people stop feeling God’s presence tangibly in their lives and never recover from that “dry spell” or “valley”? It’s because they stopped putting in that effort. They stop reading the Bible.…

Summer Reflections 8/10/16
If anyone knows anything about me and my job, it’s that I don’t like my boss. At all. And that’s an understatement. But as I was praying for him today, I couldn’t help but cry. I just felt like no one was praying for him. No one was praying for him to feel the blessings that he has, no one was praying for his salvation. It was like despite him having so many things (money, good position, etc.),…

Weathered Seasons
“At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him”. Hebrews 2:8 God has placed me exactly where I need to be. Can I trust Him? As I work, study, sign up for classes, etc., it’s very difficult for me to see what God is trying to do in my life. Working at CVS is tough since I’m getting constantly criticized by my boss and coworkers; I’ll admit it’s hard for me not to take things…

Social Media Fast
I’ve done social media fasts before, but I’ll admit I’m going into this knowing that I need to take action against the sin and distractions in my life. Though social media is used for many beneficial purposes,I want to replace the time scrolling through people’s articles/statuses/photos with focusing on disciplining myself. From this fast, I hope to gain a fresh love for my Creator and sow some…
