A few of these have already been answered, but I will try my best!
I once saw this video talking about how late stage capitalism involves convincing the everyday person to indulge in cheap, sloppy media - and I honestly feel like I can see this happening in real time around me. It drives me nuts! In the long term, I would like to make content that forces other people around me to expect BETTER things from the entertainment world - whether that be through my short-form content or my comics/illustrations.
I am a sucker for anything that involves explorations of Morality or love! I like happy endings, but I'll take anything that makes sense for the story.
My favorite Villain of all time is very hard to choose. I re-wrote this answer a few times, because ultimately villains have such different functions based on the media they exist in and it's really hard to decide! My favorite Comically-Evil villain is Queen Scarlet (wof), and my favorite serious villiain is Bojack Horseman. I know I always bring up the dumb horse show but it really did change my life guys. SUCH a good watch.
My favorite hero... even harder to choose, but I have to say it's currently a tie between Joe Gardner (Disney's Soul) and Ted lasso , for some reason. I still don't think Disney has made anything better than Soul since it's release, and Joe is such a universally enjoyable protagonist. But Ted lasso is like.. flawless writing
There was once a time when I had watched every single Marvel movie to release, but I stopped after endgame. Still, I have kept up with Marvel... loosely! My favorites are always going to be the Guardians of the Galaxy, I literally loved all 3 movies and I still cry over the Rocket edits when they come up.
Maybe it's just James Gunn that I'm a fan of, because I also loved superman 2025 and I am excited for Supergirl!
I've already answered the breakfast/wof thing, but if money didn't matter i would do NOTHING! I would run DnD campaigns and make comics. That being said, I kind of like having to work for stuff because I feel rewarded when I achieve my goals. THAT being said, It would be GREAT if money didn't matter.
I love to render, and have always seen the steps that come before it as tedious! I don’t know if that’s weird or not.
First of all, thanks for being here so long! I honestly just did it as a way of building my character design muscles, and then came to find out I actually really like redesigning.
As for improvement, I think the most important thing you can do is think about what you draw! It sounds kind of weird, but I feel like a lot of artists (myself included) tend to draw on autopilot. We always subconsciously lean into things we already understand, whether that be a certain angle or face shape. Being aware of these biases is the easiest way to erase them. If you do that, you will learn new things much faster!
thank you so much! I've already answered some inspiration/artist questions, so let's talk about tattoos. As of right now, I do not have any! I think they're pretty cool, but I'm too indecisive to ever get a permanent tattoo. That being said, I like to draw on myself with temporary tattoo markers.
I assume you meant fanfics, but my favorite fabrics are anything flowy! I don’t read much fanfiction, but I love seeing wild side character content of any kind. I will help kill Darkstalker, but leave the eating to you. I don’t think he would taste very good.
I am a childhood fan! My artstyle has been slowly cementing over the course of my entire life, but it didn't become super 'signature' until about three years ago.
This is Saguaro's first headshot from 2020, next to one I did 15 minutes ago.
My favorite quote is 'Keep Moving Forward' from Meet the Robinsons!
Surprisingly no! But I do appreciate a good dragon cameo (Skyrim, The hobbit…)
I know EXACTLY what snippet of book 5 that inspires this ship, and I agree.
I have read book 16, and Dugong is my favorite character! I think he is very cute and I got irrationally excited every time he showed up in part 3.
I knew basic rules of 2D animation before I started posting, and I have much more experience with Frame-By-Frame than tweening! That being said, the 'experience' is... not very much. Learning to tween has honestly been way easier than I expected, but I'm sure that immediately caving to buy alight motion pro helped me a lot. I enjoy that Tweening is kind of math-based, even though I hate math.
My favorite redesign is probably Queen Thorn, because I turned her into a punk lesbian motorcyclist. My least favorite is blue! I think I made his head too small...
One dragon I absolutely HATED redesigning is Tsunami - her original color palette was much closer to the canon design, but it looked so awful I ended up spending like 2 hours playing with curves/HSB... only to run it through a gradient map in the end. On the other hand, Willow was SO fun.
I have a few tutorials/time-elapses up right now, but I might make some more as I improve and learn new tricks!
