i think there is something fundamentally wrong with me but that's okay

Dreading the start of July because I finally talked to my PCP and said that I’m ready to start trying to figure out what is wrong with my GI tract now after ignoring it for the last 8 years and I am just waiting for my first GI appointment now so that I can start the diagnostic testing process. I have been really this whole period but, after how sick I was in high school it seemed comparatively mild and I also just needed a break from feeling like a Guinea pig. I’ve just been enjoying pretending that I’m a healthy young adult… outside of all my symptoms.
But last summer I had to go on a short course of steroids for my back and while I was on them my GI issues went briefly into remission (and I do already have one diagnosed autoimmune disorder so having a second would not be surprising). My latest blood work shows that my iron stores are now pretty much completely gone and I’m anemic and I’m showing signs of being deficient in other nutrients that people in the US just aren’t deficient in these days unless there is something preventing you from absorbing nutrients properly. And I’m also just starting to get so exhausted. I’ve been overly tired this whole time but it started getting worse in recent years and in the last 6 months I’ve noticed it really starting to ramp up.
Hopefully testing won’t take too long but I also kinda hope it does because my doctor’s main concern right now is that I have crohn’s and. I really really don’t want that to be the case

Partner’s kidney infection came back and they got readmitted to the hospital tonight, we got them in earlier than last time because we didn’t have to spend two days wondering if they caught the flu/covid/some nasty bug so it wasn’t as critical thankfully. Oh God, I just want them to be healthy again
Yeah they were so much sicker this time despite getting into the hospital so much earlier. They kept spiking a 103 fever and the nurses would throw all of the blankets off of their bed and cover them in ice from head to toe (which was miserable for them because they felt like they were freezing and were shaking so aggressively). They are back home now but we are really worried that once this course of antibiotics ends that the infection is just going to worsen again. We were getting the “transgender broken arm” treatment this time around -> “oh it’s just bad lucky, testosterone causes atrophy which can cause recurrent UTIs. We will just have to wait and see if they get sick again, ask your PCP for topical estrogen”
Okay yeah, testosterone can cause frequent UTIs because of atrophy…. But how often do you get a patient with a bad kidney and 0 atrophy symptoms whose first atrophy symptom is becoming nearly septic with two back to back kidney infections???? They have 0 issues with pain, soreness, irritation, urgency/frequency with urination, etc.
But they do have a kidney stone in their bad kidney that is too large to pass and the bacteria that grew on their culture is known to form biofilms that are difficult to treat and need more than antibiotics to get rid of
