a/c: my first fic!! i hope you like it <3 i've been wanting to write for clarisse for so dang long lolol i've just now gotten around to doing it..
gods she is so whipped.
you and percy have only been at camp for a month and she's already head over heels in love with you. anytime you're around her or even in her line of sight she can't help but blush and feel all giddy inside.
it all started when you and percy were getting a tour of camp from luke. when the three of you walked past the training arena and she got a glimpse of you she froze. like full on gawking statue. one of her brothers struck her in the face and she didn't even get angry.. well.. in that moment. that's how enamored she was.
it was confusing to say the least. everybody knows her as the badass of camp, a warrior, ares favorite. so to see her blushing and giving you goo goo eyes was a surprise to everyone.
she thought she hid it well. all the subtle, but not subtle at all, glances, the way she tried to hide her blush behind her hands or hair, and how she always stares at you. but no one was fooled. not even you.
when she wasn't terrorizing and trying to dunk your brothers head in a toilet, she was trying to get closer to you. it started with little comments on your form when sword training then turned into walks around camp. your brother was not happy to say the least...
"are you seriously becoming friends with her?!" percy asked from across the cabin while he fixed his hair. "she's.. nice.. i like her company.." you mumble, closing your book with a soft thud. "you can't be serious. clarisse being "nice company?" sure. like i believe that." "percy i'm serious. she's sweet.. she always gives me her extra dessert at dinner and lets me play with her hair and lets me ramble about the books i'm-" "she's just doing that to mess with me, y'know. she hates me. you know this. she's just getting close to you to like.. mess with my head or something." "no she's not. you're being dramatic percy." "fine! believe what you wanna believe but when she reveals that it's all been a big ploy, don't say i told you so." he mumbles the last part while storming out the cabin, slightly slamming the door behind him. you sit on your bed thinking back to his words.. maybe she is playing me.. no! she wouldn't do that! she's been so sweet.. she couldn't possibly be playing me.. right?
that night after dinner you and Clarisse are having your nightly walk through camp. the entire time you cant help but think about percys earlier words. clarisse can obviously tell that something's wrong with you. "hey. what's up with you? you've been all quiet and sulky since we started walking." she asks, gently grabbing your arm and stopping you. you look up at her but look away just as quickly. "it's nothing.. promise" "no it's not nothing. your acting all weird and sad and shit." "Clarisse I'm fine. just drop it.." "no I'm not gonna "just drop it", y/n. your being weird." "fine! I'm acting weird cause Percy said you're just being nice to me to get back at him!" she just stares at you for a good moment before speaking. "you seriously believe his bullshit?" "I mean he's not that far off.. you hate him. you could easily be getting close to me just to mess with him." "so you really think I'd do that, huh?" she crosses her arms and scoffs looking away then looking back at you "do you know how stupid you sound saying that right now?" "well no-" "well you sound really stupid. y/n I've literally never treated anyone how I've been treating you before. can you get that through your head? you get to play with my hair and actually talk to me like a normal person. why would I throw all of that away just to mess with your dumbass brother. he can tell you whatever he wants to but it won't change my feelings for you." you look up at her and cant help the blush creeping up your cheeks. seeing your pink face clarisse smirks and takes your hand. "you look even stupider blushing" "shut up..."
(clarisse gave percy a black eye for getting into your head after that btw)
