Tyler only acted under Laurel's orders as Hyde in season 1... So he had no control in fact ? So what is this person talking about exactly ? He didn't literally torture anyone by himself ? He just obeyed his master's orders, that's all. And in season 2, he is in cage doing nothin to anyone. Also, by being distant, the bond with Laurel is less and less strong, which will therefore allow Tyler to kill her when she comes to him. This isn't something he had the ability to do before. Hyde must obey his master, he is even conditioned to validate and appreciate what his master wants. However, it is a canonical reality that Tyler is even more psychologically and physically unstable than before precisely because of this distance and that now that Laurel is dead it will be even worse to the point that if he does not find a new master he will potentially die.

Well, the Wenclairs are hiding the canonical facts to demonize Tyler and pass themselves off as those who are morally correct. This boy has suffered enormous psychological and physical trauma with grooming, sexual abuse and indoctrination and on top of that, he is prey to a monstrous version of himself unstable. And we are supposed to think that he is actually first degree evil ? Because he responds to his traumas in the only way that Laurel and the outside world has taught him in relation to his species ? We are being made fun of, I swear. Level bad faith is strong. Yes, Tyler is a monster. Yes, he's done terrible things, but he's not a bad person. He's a teenager who needs to be fixed, damn it. That's all. And I remind you that even if Tyler was a bully before, it was also a response to his first traumas and family problems. Not to say that it's good, it wasn't. But he was still a kid. And one stupidity too many, he was sent to reform camps and had the right to a psychologist and visibly when he came back he stopped hanging out with his bullying friends. So that leaves supposed that before Laurel arrived, Tyler had already started working on himself. Again, everything is there for redemption in the future. Denying this seems very problematic to me, knowing that Tyler represents both ; people with psychological problems, and victims of grooming / SA. The message that would be sent by a Tyler who is morally condemned by everyone without any possibility of attempting to evolve and heal would be horrible. Even more so in the context of a gothic show based on the fucking Addams Family...
The comparison to reality of this person is also disturbing. Has no one unlocked a literal bloodthirsty beast that would force you to potentially always have a master to survive and avoid descending into madness ?!
"I was abused too and I didn't kill people" While forgetting that Tyler was ordered to kill these people all season 1... He was literally physically and mentally forced to do it. What control is this person talking about ?! He regains some in season 2 and still, he still remains psychologically and physically unstable in his Hyde skin, which will only get worse with Laurel's death. Also, saying that Tyler can completely control his Hyde at the end of episode 4 is stupid. Even Hunter has confirmed otherwise. Or implying that light control is enough like this person seems to be trying to say is even more stupid, because I would like to see you there controlling the bloodthirsty part of you that turns into a huge unstable monster that finds itself truly free for the very first time in a very long time ?!

The fact that theyāre trying to equate their experience to a fictional supernatural creature that is written to not have autonomy is all I need to read to not listen to anything else this person has to say. They cannot equate their experience to literal mind control.
