Society and culture can change beyond recognition in a lifetime—people with criminal convictions for homosexuality are today seeing gay marriage become legal. A bunch of you are reading this on a multi-functional device that would outperform any supercomputer from 20 years ago, and when you’re finished, you’ll put it in your pocket. The great physicist Niels Bohr is said to have written, “Prediction is very difficult, especially about the future.” As correct as that may be, the world will definitely evolve in the next few decades, and we’ve got a good idea just how some of those changes will play out.

This was inspired by a song by BT (ft. Jes), called "Every Other Way." It is a house/dance/electro song that starts simple, and builds to something explosive. I intend to add in BT's lyrics and make this a cover of their song. For now, from me to you, here's my song:
That awkward moment when Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) is in Not Another Teen Movie.
Here is the thing—you don’t need to stop, but you need to slow your roll and put this thing in park for a minute (pardon the extended metaphor). Before you spend one more dollar, you need to sit down and think about what it is you want to get out of all of this. What, in your dream of dreams, do you want to have happen? Have a label scoop you up? Just get a good booking agent? A manager? Be the next Lady Gaga? Write it out. What does the dream look like? Do not be pragmatic. Be honest about your ambition. Don’t fear or fence in the dream. This is where yr power and energy lurks. Once you have it written out, you are going to start at the very beginning and baby-step this shit. Just concentrate on doing the next right thing, one little bit at a time. It’s time to hit reset.
"Jessica Hopper has advice for a female musician who feels like she’s “DIY’ed herself into oblivion,” but it is pretty worthy guidance for any creative person who feels like they’re in a rut. (via sotc-nyc)" This deserves a re-blog. Jessica Hopper really spits it out, giving good advice. It's that type of truth and honesty that you can't just look away from. -Chris Merchant
Maxence Cyrin did piano covers of Nirvana and MGMT! Sick
This is brilliant and beautifully done. It deserves an audience to share in its simple, sweet, and emotional melody. A spectacle worth listening to, even for only a moment.
