I'm going to be posting about this Super Mario World rom hack whenever I remember to put anything on here, it'll be a good time. More Lightbearers! Recyclepomp (Dragon/Ghost) is an ever deconstructing and rebuilt Ship of Theseus that is shifting between Mandjet and Mesektet of Egyptian mythology, with an Anubis figurehead for good measure. What looks like wood planks are actually its hardened scales, which are constantly discarded and pulled from its environment; coming across its scales is a bad omen that you are going to be visited by a grim reaper mummy dog boat. Its novel Displacement ability causes its lowest stat to be traded with the equivalent stat of the opponent when contact is made, so it can cause some serious disruption to powerful foes with the right stat allocation.

Long overdue for some Legendaries! This gentlerock is Stratatonic (Rock/Ghost), which is part of a new Lightbearer quartet of odd fellows. Each based on some kind of thought experiment, this one is inspired by the Allegory of the Cave - the shadowy critter is appropriately not the actual mon, but instead the giant, faceless slate that it's projected onto.

Stratatonic is actually very meek, gentle, and easily intimidated in spite of being over 2 meters of rock, but it has a prankish streak that the shadow expresses. It also has a unique ability in Projection, which causes the user's moves that lower its stats, like Superpower or Hammer Arm, to instead lower the target's stats. Status moves will instead lower all adjacent targets' stats.

A little sprite for a fashionable dress form mannequin-banshee, Screamstress (Fairy/Ghost)! Unsurprising for having a colossal pair of scissors on its back, it boasts Sharpness and is very darling for it. The banshee origins also lets it have Soundproof, as a lark.

The spool of fabric around its neck gives it access to a unique Wonder Lace ability for a unique support role: the user and their partner are allowed to target the other for moves that would be otherwise self-targeting. Screamstress can be targeted for Shell Smash, while she can use Rest or Protect on her ally.

Rounding off Faketober 2025 with fuckingg bnnuy Candelop (Fire), Vigilop (Fire/Fairy), and Constellop are portentous candle jackalopes that act as the fire starter line. As such they get the standard Blaze, but can also use Alignment which boosts Attack and Special Attack whenever a 3+ turn-based timer runs out on its own, whether through moves (Taunt, Trick Room, Future Sight, etc), Weather, Terrain, etc etc.

They can also use the move Candle Bomb, which does decent damage and then coats the target in wax - it hardens over time, and reduces their speed each turn for 3 turns. Hadn't done nearly as much drawings for this month as I would've liked, but it was fun inventing a whole bunch of newer designs off the cuff. Hope you were creatively rejuvenated as well!
