Why You NEED Fats
1. First off, your brain is more than two-thirds fat. Every single cell membrane in your body is made of fat….that’s 37.2 TRILLION cells, each needing fat.
2. Without fats, you cannot absorb the vitamins and minerals in other foods.
3. Hormones are fat soluble. Without fat, you won’t be able to reproduce, to have hunger/fullness cues, and so so much more.
4. Fats provide a feeling of satiation (fullness). (So, without fats you’re actually more likely to overeat.)
5. Fats can’t be made by the body without nutritional intake of fats. We basically need them for every function in our body, so eating fats is super important.
