Yancy felt her face heat up. She was use to being complimented and praise but from Nate it was always slightly different. She wanted to impress him and have him like her.
"Oh I don’t know about that. I’m still young. Got a ways to go before I reach the level I want to be on. And if you’re good I’m sure there is a chance. We’re both still learning."
Yancy paused for a moment. “If you need any advice though I’m always happy to help.”
Was it his imagination or was her face a little more flushed than before? Did he say something embarrassing?
Well, it was probably nothing.
"Haha, wow, the friends I've been running into sure are comprising themselves into one hell of a support system. Knowing that, I'll get there eventually- and you will, too," he nodded his head in approval.
"But I guess that makes us rivals in a sense! I can't slip up now and fall behind if I want to reach my goals. I expect no less from you, either, Yancy," he teased. He was certainly one to talk, being the junior in this situation. Oh well, a little friendly "motivation" wouldn't do any harm.
