This is probably a weird ask, but I'm trying to improve my art and would love to see a time lapse or sketch of your art if possible.

unfortunately i don't have a timelapse and my sketches aren't too different from the final lineart, mostly bc i sketch in a single layer so if i erase or move things around the rougher first sketch gets lost. this is the best i can give you in afraid,,,,

The imagery of Simon in the last paragraph, one arm around his future, other arm manuvering a contraption from his past, and the fact that his past literally rips off that arm, thus freeing him to tumble into his future

having a very fun time squinting at the lines of the Blood Drawing and going "ah yep, it does sort of look like Grace is wearing Simon's pendant there. uh oh."

(also less important, but I love that we got some more of Simon going 'i don't know anything about this guy' it really makes me giggle every time. Dr Grace loves to ramble but boy oh boy does he never ever say anything about himself. Love that Simon immediately grasped (and then refused to think about) the Implications™️ of Grace's ship being named the Hail Mary) 💜💜

Been really obsessed with @raphalorem's fic the great tribulation lately and have been recommending it to everyone interested!! They write them so so well and hits just right on the mark of my own personal characterization it's awesome. And their doodles foreshadowing future scenes?? I feel like Grace would def bring Simon to his work often

grace's mental list of 'excuses' why bringing simon to work is a good idea, in order of how much he lets himself think about them: -the pebbles get to see a second human specimen! -the IL universe had a brain drain which means there's a chance simon could stand to learn a lot about what he teaches! -what's simon gonna do alone in the house? get bored? (wait for him to come back?) -having a second opinion on some things is always good -[spoilers] -separation anxiety

I just want to say, I only have watched the iron lung movie and never even touched or heard of PHM before your fic (and a bit of art) and it’s genuinely convinced me to try and buy the book - or if I can, the audio book - to see for it myself

it's really good!! you should def try it if it interests you!!
