I've never been one to follow norms. I've never been one to fit into a mold, or follow the leader simply because their crown is shiny.
You can throw rocks at me for not wearing the same shirt as you, you can drag me through the dirt for things I never got to chose.
You can impale me by the stake and parade me around town like an effingy for people to throw their trash at because I found genuine joy in something you think I shouldn't have. "Behold," you say "behold the girl who found joy in herself, behold the one who expresses themself."
You can lock me up in a cage, so people can ooh and gawk at me like I'm some exotic bird, because clearly all you see me as is a dumb animal.
You can burn a label onto my forehead, so you can have an excuse to kick me down and feel a little taller in your fragile skin.
You can set me on fire and gather the whole town to watch me burn alive, because I wanted to shine in a different hue than the same dull red everyone else has. Because I was tired of hiding my colors, scared that if I held them back for too long, they would fade, and I'd become just as empty as the rest of you. So there, bleed my colors dry, you didn't like them.

I just like it okay, it scratches a neglected itch in my broken little brain and it tastes like extra sour cherry flavoured pop rocks. I also had a lotta fun drawing this. I love doing sharp angles like that mixed with the scribbliness.
