Acquired all the materials I need to make a Captain Marvel themed cosplay kimono. Finished kimono will be worn at the Japanese Fall Festival at Mizumoto Stroll Garden, Springfield, Missouri. This year's cosplay gathering is Marvel themed on Saturday, Sept. 7!

Trying to fund new cosplay projects by selling my Visioncon 2019 FFXIV Bard costume. I spent 5 months, only a couple hours at a time, working on this costume. I've learned a lot about pattern manipulation and pattern creation thanks to cosplay. Each new project makes me a better seamstress and I'm always excited to take on something new.

Selling my Final Fantasy XIV Bard Storyteller costume with 10% of proceeds to charity.
Crashing a wedding with my Namazu wingman while kidnapping some random bard.
Final Fantasy XIV Bard Storyteller cosplay costume I made and wore for Visioncon 2019. Took me dozens of hours to complete and I'm so happy with it. The main fabric is a lightweight denim with polyester lining and gold bias tape. The embellishments were created with gold polyester, fusible interfacing, and a tight zigzag stitch. The hat was made with similar fabrics but includes stabilizer and wire to hold shape. I used Crayola markers and warm water to dye feathers the desired colors. The bagpipe prop was made from wooden dowels, chair pegs, faux velvet, yarn, polyester, and styrofoam for shape. The belt sashes were crafted from cotton and yarn. Not shown is all the jewelry I got to make to accompany the costume. Item is listed on Etsy.
