The same Kevin Day who recognized the safety and love of the Trojans and sent Jean there so he could finally find peace and begin healing. The Kevin Day who offered to watch Neil so Neil could drink for a night. The Kevin Day who would shield Andrew from the cameras so he could pull himself together after playing a full game sober. The Kevin Day who refuses to give up on Jean even though he knows they’ll never be what they once were. The Kevin Day who openly and frequently speaks highly of Jeremy after his scandal knowing people will take him at his word and eventually start seeing Jeremy for the player that he is and not the things that haunt him. The Kevin Day who made Jean promise not to kill himself because he knew that someday Jean could live the life he deserved, if only he stayed alive long enough to see it.

Kevin Day is gentle. He is kind and caring and soft. His heart is full of love and he often thinks about the people he cares about, showing his love in the only ways he knows how.

So yes, Kevin is exy obsessed. And yes, Kevin can be an asshole. But Kevin has never been, and never will be, just an exy obsessed asshole.
