These creatures are well appreciated and seek upon due to being “all terrain”. They can climb, they can swim, they can run and can go through rocky terrains. They are also considerably strong and can adapt easily to the elements, and since they are omnivores they can conform to most foods and carry heavy loads for miles. Not only that, but they are exceptional fighters and quite flexible, having in addition a semi prehensile tail.

This is not without its perks though. For one, even though they can maneuver most terrains, their running speed it’s 2/3 that of a horse at best, they do swim faster than one but they like taking their time and it’s very hard to train them to do so faster unless the animal itself detects danger or the urgency.

But the biggest issue it’s their temper. While they don’t go out of their way to start fights, they are very stubborn, can be quite aggressive and are easily startled, so taming one takes an immense amount of effort and patience. Which it’s why many breed them and take them in from foals since it makes it easier.

All this aside, they are very loyal, and will stick by those that earn their trust.
