I like cancelled plans. And empty bookstores. I like rainy days and thunderstorms. And quiet coffee shops. I like messy beds and over-worn pajamas. Most of all, I like the small joys that a simple life brings.

No thunder in Portland but today is all of these things.
I don’t want to be swallowed up by sadness and anger. it takes up so much of my time when I could be doing things like reading and going out. but even when I do read and go outside, I’m not reading, and I’m not wherever I “am.” I’m doing well but I’m not doing well.

Exactly how I'm feeling after the past week.
She’s a mess of gorgeous chaos and you can see it in her eyes.
Charles Bukowski (via wordsnquotes)
She did not need much, wanted very little. A kind word, sincerity, fresh air, clean water, a garden, kisses, books to read, sheltering arms, a cosy bed, and to love and be loved in return.

I was always hungry for love. Just once, I wanted to know what it was like to get my fill of it — to be fed so much love I couldn’t take any more. Just once.
Haruki Murakami, Norwegian Wood (via thelovejournals)
There is no right time and right place for love. It can happen any time

Some people are born with tornadoes in their lives, but constellations in their eyes. Other people are born with stars at their feet, but their souls are lost at sea.
Nikita Gill, Perspectives (via wordsnquotes)
I haven’t written anything for a month then I saw your face and I’ve written 30 poems.

When inspiration strikes...
I think I fell in love with her, a little bit. Isn’t that dumb? But it was like I knew her. Like she was my oldest, dearest friend. The kind of person you can tell anything to, no matter how bad, and they’ll still love you, because they know you. I wanted to go with her. I wanted her to notice me. And then she stopped walking. Under the moon, she stopped. And looked at us. She looked at me. Maybe she was trying to tell me something; I don’t know. She probably didn’t even know I was there. But I’ll always love her. All my life.
Neil Gaiman, The Sandman, Vol. 8: Worlds’ End (via thelovejournals)
Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.
William Shakespeare (via vethox)
She likes a gentleman who knows when not to be gentle.
(via youhavefoundyourself)
She wasn’t my first kiss but she’s the kiss that mattered, the kiss that made me realize I didn’t want to kiss anyone else. So now my lips belong to her. Just look at them… Her name’s written all over them.

I’m missing the ocean. It’s time for a beach trip!

Let’s just lay around and make love and take walks and talk a little.
