I don’t know why I’m writing this but I feel like I need to post here that I’m in the process of being diagnosed with schizophrenia. I still need to do some medical tests and scans that will take a while but unless a medical issue that could explain my symptoms is present, schizophrenia is pretty much the only other explanation. My witchcraft practice is pretty much non-existent and I’m seriously considering giving it up, perhaps to pick up in a few years. I don’t know the future of this blog, but things aren’t looking good. I’m very, very tempted to delete it and leave Tumblr altogether. I’m lost and if anyone has any advice or words of comfort, they’d be very appreciated.

Thank you everyone for all your words of encouragement and comfort! I’m not sure the future of my practice but I do know what I’m going to do with this blog. I am not going to delete it so everyone can still view it, but I am no longer going to be on Tumblr or posting anything. I am not going to check anything but I wanted to thank all of my followers for supporting me and being understanding. Perhaps I’ll be back in a couple years, but until then, goodbye.

I just had the idea of choosing my middle name to show that Hades is my father. For a bit of context, I chose the name Ryan when I came out as nonbinary and genderfluid but I don’t have a middle name anymore so I always have an eye out for a name that sounds interesting. It just occurred to me that I could call myself Ryan Hades-Son [Last Name]. I don’t think I’ll really share that with anyone in my real life or change it officially until I’m an adult, but it will still be nice to have for myself. I was wondering, does anyone have any other name ideas to reflect that I’m a child of Hades other than Hades-Son?

Calling all otherkin! I’m a shapeshifting god and I liked to take the form of certain animals. I don’t identify as those animals but I have a strong connection to them and feel like my soul may partially be them. Is there a term for that?

I have a question for the divinekin community. I had a dream last night that my “origin date” as a deity was November 1, which would make me a Scorpio. I’m not into astrology but in this life I’m a Virgo but I don’t really identity with that many Virgo traits. On the other hand, Scorpio fits my personality perfectly. Anyways, I know that November was at least one of my sacred months as a deity, but is it possible for a divine entity to have a birthday?

Home Decoration Ideas for Divinekin/Deitykin

1. Fluffy or fleece duvet/pillow covers

This is a personal favourite of mine, soft bed covers easily lull me to sleep and make me feel safe and homely even on days when I am anxious about being on Earth.

2. Incense/Candles/Diffusers

If you have scents that remind you of your home or your divinity, finding them in these forms can be very comforting and equally a nice ornament on any shelf or windowsill.

3. Any items from your personal memories/dominions!

For divinekin or deitykin it is particularly hard to suggest items for decorations that fit this label, so more than anything I suggest finding items that fit what you personally remember. It can be anything from potting a plant that you remember to simply having some small trinkets and crystals on a shelf. If it makes you feel at home, it doesn’t matter!

Personally, I’m planning on displaying lots of stamps from around the world on my walls as well as maps of the stars to fit my dominions.

I hope you don’t mind me adding my two-cents in but here’s a list personalized for me based on the content of this list. This is very self-indulgent but perhaps it could help give ideas to others.

- I actually very recently purchased a new duvet and sheets which are super soft and are my favourite colour, dark green. I also have a wonderful, fleece blanket draped over my bed for extra warmth. You’ve perfectly put into words why it’s so important for me to have a bed that calms me as a deity.

- I’m allergic to scented candles and I don’t really have any memories that include scents but I have been entertaining the idea of purchasing non-scented candles in the shape of Greek busts and architecture.

- I’m a deity of growth after death and decay and I’ve always loved the aesthetic of overgrown bones, so a good piece of decor for my room would be a small terrarium with plants and bones. In a similar vein, perhaps a skull plant pot would have the same effect.

- I’m a deity of stories so having books everywhere in my room is super important. I have a rainbow-coordinated bookshelf already and I’m getting a bigger shelf soon but I want to start decorating my room with books in places other than my shelf.

- I’m a deity of scavengers and recyclers so having scavenged and recycled items in my room could be good. Perhaps it’s time to hit the thrift store?

- Dark green, gold and silver are my sacred colours and also my favorites so decorating with them would be good.

- I’m from the Greek pantheon so having Greek busts, artwork and references from the myths would make me feel right at home. If anyone has any ideas for how I can incorporate Greek mythology into my decor, please tell me!

Hai! I really hope this is okay for me to ask but how did you figure out you were a god? There's been.. vibes and odd coincidences through my whole life but I've only semi-recently been trying to delve into all of it, after years of being in the otherkin community.

I don't really have any memories, I potentially have /one/ but I could easily excuse that as being imagination so I'm not sure. And I don't think I have a god complex but I'm also nervous that's what all the vibes really are. It would be amazing to talk to someone who is deitykin but I understand if I'm being invasive so don't feel any pressure to answer me ^.^

No, your not being invasive at all! These types of asks are the whole reason I started this blog.

I suppose you could call me "newly awakened" because I haven't consciously known I was a deity until quite recently. If you've been on the internet long enough, you're bound to come across the term otherkin, which is exactly what I did. I was on YouTube and came across a video about otherkins. I Googled what it was and was instantly hooked. I’ve gone through my whole life feeling “not quite human” and I at the time, I was convinced I was a Starseed. After I discovered divinekin, I was even more convinced. It took a little while to figure out that I was deitykin but once I figured it out, memories came trickling back.

Discovering yourself is a very personal experience so I’m not sure if I can offer you any helpful advice, but if you’d like, I’d be more than happy to DM one on one with you to help!

As a deity, I really love bitter-sweet foods such as dark chocolate. I’m not a fan of red meat such as beef but I do enjoy fish from time to time. Unfortunately, most of the memories I’ve uncovered from being a deity are negative. I think the best memories I have are of a son of Apollo I was very close to and have actually been able to reconnect with in this life.

31. What feels like home for your kin type?

Honestly, finding home has been something that’s I’ve struggled with both in this life and as a deity. As a deity, I was born in the Underworld and am a chthonic deity so would the Underworld be my home? However, I was raised on Mt. Olympus so would that be my home? I never really felt fully accepted in either place and I have been cast out from both for the time being so I suppose in a way I’m homeless. Sorry, if this wasn’t the answer you had in mind!

6. What do you dislike most about your own kintype(s)?

No, I don’t mind answering. I think what I dislike the most about being a god is constantly feeling like I’m being narcissistic and delusional. I think that’s a pretty common experience for divinekin in general. The thing is, I don’t think I’m better than any other mortal by being a god. Humans are fascinating, complicated and beautiful and even though I don’t exactly like being trapped in a mortal vessel right now, I am honoured to have the chance to live among you. I hope that answered your question!
