I’m recovering from a hospitalization for a major depressive episode and becoming bigger, better, and smarter for it.

Be unapologetic. Leave people who don’t love you. Get rid of habits that hurt you. Celebrate the skin you have in the body that gets you out of bed every morning. Thank the sun for rising and take pride in your own ability to survive.

It’s a hard, nasty, confusing world out there. But there’s so much good. You just have to keep the faith, trudge through the bad, and trust that the sun will rise again tomorrow.
