Yeah Dominator more or less replaces Bowser in the events of Galaxy 1 and 2. Bowser will still have a role in those stories, but at this point in the timeline, Bowser isn't a villain.

Plot:

The Mario Bros. have been invited to The Last Resort, a luxurious high-rise and Art Deco-styled hotel nestled in a mountainside area, and decide to visit it for a vacation, accompanied by Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Luigi's pet ghost dog Polterpup, a quintet of Toads, and a quintet of Beds that serve as the former's entourage. After arriving and settling in, Luigi wakes up during the night to find the hotel transfigured to appear haunted and the others missing. He discovers that the hotel's ghostly owner, Hellen Gravely, lured the group there as part of a trap by King Boo, whom she idolizes and had freed from Professor E. Gadd's custody after his recapture in the previous game. King Boo announces his plot to take revenge on Luigi and his friends for his past defeats by imprisoning them in portraits, but Luigi narrowly escapes to the basement through a laundry chute. With the help of Polterpup, who also avoided capture, Luigi explores the basement and comes across E. Gadd's car in The Last Resort's parking garage and finds his latest Poltergust G-00 inside it. Using the device, Luigi follows Polterpup to the lobby and finds that the professor was also captured.

Searching the surrounding area, Luigi comes across E. Gadd's Dark-Light Device, and his same pair of Dark-Light Goggles in a safe and uses them to free him. Setting up a portable laboratory in the garage, E. Gadd explains how he was also tricked into visiting the hotel and taken hostage by Hellen, who then plundered his latest ghost collection to staff the building. Believing that Luigi's friends are likely trapped on the upper floors, E. Gadd recommends that Luigi finds the elevator buttons for the upper floors that had been taken from the main elevator after he secures two from a ghost he had defeated earlier. While exploring the floors, each featuring a different theme to them, Luigi is supported further by some of E. Gadd's latest creations – the Virtual Boo communication device and Gooigi, an ectoplasmic doppelgänger of Luigi who serves as the professor's ghost-catching protégé. Left without any other choice, Luigi begins his search for the missing elevator buttons in order to visit each of the Last Resort's many floors.

Coming across and defeating a variety of different ghosts throughout the hotel, Luigi reclaims the elevator buttons and rescues the Toads and Beds from them, the former of whom are then kept in E. Gadd's lab for safety. Eventually, he reaches the top floor where he confronts a furious Hellen and manages to defeat her before rescuing Daisy. Luigi then follows her to the roof where they find Mario and Peach's portraits. Upon freeing both of them, the group is confronted by King Boo, having lost faith in Hellen and her staff earlier and prepares to imprison them and their allies in a single portrait. After being inadvertently saved by Polterpup at the last second, Luigi, aided by Gooigi, finds himself forced to defeat King Boo once again. During the battle, King Boo enlarges the portrait's frame in an attempt to pull in The Last Resort with Luigi still on the roof. Luigi soon triumphs over King Boo and manages to recover the portrait moments before the whole hotel crumbles to the ground from its endured strain.

After freeing his friends from the portrait, the ghosts Luigi had captured escape from their containment in E. Gadd's now-destroyed lab and attempt to attack, but they suddenly become social when the jewel from King Boo's crown vanishes, suggesting that they were all brainwashed. E. Gadd, seeing the ghosts upset over their home's unintended destruction, elects for the group to build a new hotel, while the recaptured King Boo is returned to his custody alongside Hellen. Depending on how much money Luigi collected throughout his adventure, the new hotel, which has been remade in E. Gadd's image, will be different in size. After the grand re-opening, Luigi and his friends return home.

King Boo, who has escaped from his painting after the events of the original game, shatters the Dark Moon, a large crystalline object which has a pacifying effect on the ghosts that inhabit Evershade Valley, using the magical jewel embedded in his crown. This causes the ghosts to suddenly become hostile, forcing Professor E. Gadd to take shelter in his bunker while a dark fog covers the valley. From the bunker, E. Gadd contacts Luigi and unwillingly teleports him to the bunker, with E. Gadd showing a shattered piece of the Dark Moon to Luigi. to help recover the pieces of the Dark Moon. The professor reveals that five other pieces have landed across the Evershade Valley, leading to E. Gadd enlisting Luigi to recover the remaining Dark Moon pieces and to capture and contain the ghosts before they leave the valley and wreak havoc on the rest of the world. To aid Luigi, he provides him with several gadgets: a flashlight; the Poltergust 5000, a super upgraded version of the Poltergust 3000; the Dual Scream, a Nintendo DS-like device used for navigation and communication purposes; the Dark-Light Device, a special lens used for uncovering hidden objects and Boos, and the Dark-Light Goggles, a pair of goggles that allows Luigi to see invisible objects. They can also be used to track invisible ghosts and their movements.

Luigi makes his way through the five mansions of the valley (the gloomy manor, haunted towers, old clockworks, secret mine, and treacherous mansion), recovering a piece of the Dark Moon from powerful "Possessor" ghosts, entrusted by King Boo to guard them, in each area and saving the professor's bed assistants, who have been trapped in paintings. The Beds share security images that provide valuable clues to the whereabouts of the Dark Moon pieces and each one shows a pair of Boos carrying a bag with a painting inside. Whenever a Dark Moon piece is recovered, parts of the dark fog are lifted. Eventually, Luigi and E. Gadd find out that King Boo is behind the whole crisis in the valley and is detaining Princess Daisy in the painting. After Luigi obtains the final Dark Moon piece in a parallel dimension accessed in the fifth mansion, King Boo intercepts him as he is being returned to the bunker. King Boo reveals to Luigi his intentions to use the corrupted ghosts to conquer the world before battling him and being defeated once again.

After Luigi returns to his world, he frees Princess Daisy from the painting and reunites with E. Gadd and the Beds. They reassemble the Dark Moon, returning the ghosts back to their friendly selves. E. Gadd then releases the captured ghosts from their detainment in the bunker and they celebrate by taking a photo. The game ends as Luigi returns home with his newly adopted ghost dog, Polterpup. The credits show Princess Daisy, Luigi, the Professor, and the Beds paying visits to Evershade Valley and be spending time with the ghosts.

In the city of Brooklyn, New York, Luigi has been notified about being asked out on a date with Princess Daisy at a big multi-billion dollar renaissance influenced nineteenth-century antebellum/Dutch colonial revival mansion located in a bayou nearby New Orleans, Louisiana, He goes to the mushroom kingdom, and tells Mario about the good news, but mario was being concerned because the message might’ve been from someone else. so Luigi decides to meet up with Daisy outside the mansion that evening anyway. Luigi follows a map to the mansion, located in the dark forest outside of the countryside, and finds it more, old, dark, and sinister-looking than the supplied photo. With Daisy nowhere to be found, Luigi enters the mansion alone. He encounters a ghost, which attacks him, but is unexpectedly saved by a scientist who unsuccessfully tries to suck up the ghost with a vacuum cleaner. They escape as more ghosts appear, and the scientist presents himself as Professor Elvin Gadd, or. E. Gadd for short. He explains the mansion is supernatural in origin and only been a prior century. E. Gadd tells Luigi that he saw Daisy heading towards the mansion, but has not seen her since. Upon learning that Daisy is a princess from another dimension, E. Gadd entrusts Luigi with his ghost-hunting equipment, including the Poltergust 3000, a vacuum cleaner, and the Game Boy Horror, a communication device, as Luigi re-enters the mansion to look for Daisy.

As Luigi explores the mansion, he meets a spiritual head inside a misty crystal ball named Madame Leota, who informs him of the reason why he was lured; as well as the mansion's history. Leota reveals that King Boo had conquered the whole mansion to shelter the special ghosts that E. Gadd had previously been captured and turned into paintings with a large machine dubbed the "Ghost Portrificationizer", which is in E. Gadd's lab; King Boo subsequently sent the fake letter of Luigi being asked out on a date to lure both him and Daisy into a trap in retaliation for the boos they, along side Mario and Princess Peach, defeated in the past. After capturing many ghosts and working his way through the mansion in floors, halls, and locked rooms, Luigi captures the ghosts, discovers that Daisy has been trapped inside of a painting by King Boo and held captive in the Vault of Shadows, While capturing the last of the ghosts, Luigi finds the pirate's ring that unlocks a passageway entrance to the Vault of Shadows, and confronts King Boo, who, now disdainful over Luigi capturing his minions, pulls Luigi into the painting. Using his illusionary powers within a pocket dimension inside it, King Boo creates a suit-like replica of Dark Bowser to combat Luigi. Using the replica’s abilities against it, Luigi is able to force King Boo out of it and defeat him. Returning to the real world, Luigi finds Daisy unconscious but still trapped within the painting, which he triumphantly carries out of the mansion, E. Gadd's laboratory in the morning, he informs Luigi that the mansion has been put up for sale as soon as they turn King Boo into a painting along with the last of the captured ghosts. Using the Ghost Portrificationizer's reverse function soon after, Luigi and E. Gadd freed Daisy from her painting.

in an epilogue, as a sign of gratitude towards Luigi for all his help, E. Gadd has sold the mansion to a newly wedded couple, with its size determined by the amount of treasure collected during whole situation.

History

This van is the main transportation of the Mystery Temps (Edric, Emira, Flash, Princess Twilight, and Scooby Dum) taking them on their adventures all over the world. Flash Sentry is the owner, and has a very strong attachment to it, Although he was kind enough to lend the van to Flash, or Em and Scooby Dum for a few years, when they went on their own adventures, and then their time reunited with Princess Twilight, during their Journalistic Escapades. Occasionally, Flash would help them out and take over the driving in that time.
