Happy Cinco de Mayo 2026!
Concept art by Miguel Puga (Nickelodeon Animation Studios "The Casagrandes") for a proposed Disney Television Animation series "Boyle Heights" created by Daniel Dominguez (Powerhouse Animation "Seis Manos") Circa 2018
The series was about two chicano siblings moving to their grandparents house and having a culture crash with their culture, family and community.
"It was about two suburban siblings who move into their grandparents house in Boyle Heights, with the sudden culture crash, they all learn about their family, culture, and technology. What attracted me the most about this project was having the freedom to tell stories the way we want to tell them, with our own voice (mostly Dave’s). I got to work with some of the best people in this industry, from production, development, storyboards and design. It was fun exploring different styles and mashing a bunch of other super talented artist designs into one. You’ll see my explorations, and influences." - Puga
Miguel Puga currently works at 20th Century Animation and 20th Television Animation as storyboard artist for "The Simpsons Movie 2"
