Lava field, Iceland, October
Some recent Minolta X700 Kodak Portra 160–only the processor sent back only prints, no negs.
Willow tree blooms say hello to spring, Ayden NC.
Scanned slides from a 1994 visit to Ocracoke Island, when I paid a pilot $75 to fly my up and down the Outer Banks. This was before the Hatteras Lighthouse was moved inland.
Recently scanned slides c. 1995 from a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in Oak Park, west of Chicago, Illinois.
Scanned slides from 1993: Chartres cathedral
Some slides from my Minolta X700 at the Berlin Zoo in 1993. It did not occur to me at the time but that rhinoceros could not have been happy wearing a circle into the dirt.
More scanned slides from the 1990s: spillway, blooms and cat in tree from the Raleigh Greenway, dunking ducks in New Bern, N.C.
Karlovy Vary, Czechia, 1994. Once known as Carlsbad, spa town visited by royalty and artists. Warm mineral water dispensed throughout the town.
The Zeppelin Field, Nuremberg, Germany, slides from 1993. Once the cradle of nazism, then a car park and football field, with an exhibition titled, “Fascination and Mastery.”
News scans of slides from summer 1975, downtown Pittsburgh
Wonder if they’re still, you know.
Kodachrome c. 1993
Mid-90s Kodachrome scans. Used to love riding my bike on the Raleigh greenways.
Kodachrome scans, summer 1975, downtown Pittsburgh. Sometimes on a day off, I’d grab a camera and wander around the Golden Triangle. Wonder if that McDonalds got built and if it’s still there.
Long ago I learned you can rewind film to the tab, then reload it later. Crucial to this, of course, is remembering the count, which I almost never did. Sometimes the result is at least amusing, like these slides from Raleigh c. 1995.
Recently scanned 35mm Kodachrome of a visit to the Garden of Eden, Kansas, 1984.
