Stop moving little man! I'm trying to catch a bee pic >:(
I dissected the atlas moth's guts
Fun times :3
My genuine reaction as a moth lover:
But good work anyway, that is...wonderful of you even tho I wanna cry rn. :3 π¦β¨
Say hello to my new pet, nuggets! Because he looks like a tiny nugget. :D
HAHAHAH- I fed him a fly btw.
I think it's a jumping spider...? he's a bit curious and shy around the big stranger that trapped him in a cup and just fed him...don't worry, I'm sure we'll become friends. I'm probably gonna have a hard time building him a home though but I'll hunt for moss! And twigs. π·οΈβ¨
Ladybug landed on my hand :3π
And creepy but cute spider went on my sweater...hope it doesn't bite me. Honestly, I laughed when my dad said it's a 'daddy long legs' π·οΈ
Qhats the chunkiest lepidopterid youve seen
Back when I was a little kid at school camp, I suddenly had to use the bathroom REALLY badly, so I left my friends to keep playing while I ran to the restroom.
The second I walked into one of the stalls, I saw this chunky little moth just chilling on the edge of the toilet.
Now, keep in mind... I didn't even know moths were a thing back then. I only knew butterflies existed. π So the second I saw it, I thought it was some giant spider or some other nightmare creature. I screamed, bolted out of the bathroom, and probably scared everyone nearby. π
My counselor went to check the stall, came back, and was like, "It's just a moth."
And instead of asking if it was gone or if it would fly away... my only question was:
"Is it heavy?"
My counselor just looked at me like...what??
To this day, I have no idea why THAT was the question my brain came up with. π€£
Also, here's the reference photo of the moth that looks similar to what I found. It had the same damn patterns as this one.
MOTHS
YEAHHH! π¦β¨
So I was walking to the store and found these silly bugs, including this incredibly cute moth just chilling right on the road! Obviously had to rescue it so it wouldn't get run over, so I moved it over to some bushes where it could finish cleaning itself in peace.
Funniest part thoughβwhen I first picked it up, it literally went stiff in my palm! I felt so bad because I definitely didn't mean to scare it, but once it realized I was friendly, it just clung to my finger. ππΌπ

Honestly, for the longest time, all I wanted was to be a girl and wear pretty dresses. But as I got older, I convinced myself my shoulders were 'too wide' to pull it off. So I just gave upβno makeup, no dresses, no bright colors. I basically forced myself into a masculine box, even though it never really fit. Though now, I'm slowly getting comfortable by being okay with it in private for now as I still dream of having long wavy hair and cute outfits to try on~

found this lil moth in my yard! they wouldnβt get off my hand for a few minutes so I let them chill here
does anyone know what species they might be?
This little guy is a grass-veneer moth! (genus Crambus). Also referred to as snout moths, these slender insects have narrow, elongated wings that they typically wrap tightly around their bodies when at rest~
Also, commonly found in grassy areas, fields, and bogs. If this helps! :D π¦β¨
Some cute chunky Silk moth I found outside my porch. :) π¦π
So, I was outside feeding my cat, and when I turned around to grab the door handle to go back inside, this loud SQUEAK suddenly went off. I totally flinched and pulled my hand back. Right there, clinging to the handle, was this little moth. Honestly, I was more surprised than scared, so I gave it a soft poke, then decided to gently scoop it up to get a better look. After a minute, I let the little guy go.
