Extremely hot take about gamma jack is that the mischaracterization the fandom complains about isn't actually mischaracterization at all. You guys just cannot handle genuine shitty characters.
Ik tiktok is a cesspool, and i should never ever expect intelligence from that app, but their reasoning is so... shallow. Fandomers being eager to woobify awful characters is also concerning and extremely annoying.

I've met a lot of wonderful, straight, cis men who are friends with guys who are the polar opposite of them. Their reasoning tends to boil down to "Hey, he's not affecting me in the slightest, so he's alright in my book!"

Brad Bird is a phenomenal filmmaker who refuses to dumb down his movies for its younger audience. I'm positive he had this sort of thing in mind.
I'm not saying he's completely evil and irredeemably. He's morally grey at best, but ignoring the GREY– or rather erasing it completely– is where I draw the line.
