        TALES OF DIVINE BLOOD , legends of the otherworldly among mortals , mimicking the flesh of humans -- yes , she has seen such existences before . she has lived hundreds of lifetimes , walked through paths of ice and flame , all through the whispers of souls slipping down her throat . and the stories of those rooted to the earth , the songs of hearts broken , the echoes of laughter in memories of pure light -- she has heard them all , as well .

      ‘ no story ? pft , boring-- ’ even just the drawl of her elongated vowels tells a story in and of itself . ‘ you know , they say that DEAD MEN tell no tales . ’ a purr slips through crimson stained lips , golden eyes glinting with a mischief contradicting the mood implied from meaningless words .  ‘ now who made that up , i wonder ? i can attest to the fact that dead men are the ones that never seem to shut up . ’

          her gaze shifts to his , tongue running over fangs , fingers intertwined behind her back . his reluctance to open up only draws her in ; what could he possibly be hiding ? what kinds of haunting nightmares , what kinds of blissful dreams trail his every though ? ‘ YOU , on the other hand -- i wonder what truths lie beneath your tongue ? are you inviting me in for a little taste ? ’ harmless banter , of course -- unless implied otherwise .
