Bottleshock | Chanyeol and Luhan

Now, as the buzzing in his veins slows down, Chanyeol’s voice isn’t so annoying anymore. If fact, Luhan concentrates on it as an anchor, forcing himself to concentrate towards the speech in order to center himself. In all honesty he has no idea what he’s doing because this has never happened before, but he’s feeling better so he must be doing something right.

He tries again, tries to get up to his feet slowly, and with Chanyeol’s help— who immediately supports his arm— Luhan manages a wobbly, but upward position. Inhaling, he opens his eyes and looks around his shop. Minor cosmetic damages, and some bits of smashed glass, but they were all things that could be easily replaced or fixed. Luhan feels something sticky on his fingers that are grasped around Chanyeol’s arm, and looks down, seeing red.

Remembering just what he did before, he juts his chin towards the heavy curtain behind the counter. “We need to bandage you up…can you help me to the back? I have first aid supplies in my bathroom.” The other male willingly obliges, and for a moment he’s surprisingly quiet. And truthfully that unnerves Luhan. He’s the kind of person that’s rarely without noise surrounding him— be it the voice of a customer, or the faint playing of music in the background— and in this atmosphere the silence threatens to choke him.

"Chanyeol," he starts, voice tentative as the male drops Luhan off in his bedroom on the bed. He directs the stranger into his bathroom and vocally coaches him to the supplies needed, only back on topic when Chanyeol walks in with the little white kit. "Can you— can you just talk? I don’t work well in silence." Luhan admits, taking things out of the kit. "Where are you from, why did you go along with your friends’ stupid idea, are you on drugs…" because that certainly might have been a possibility if he thought breaking into a store was a good idea.

He's a bit surprised as he helps Luhan to the back room and realizes that he seems to be living in the back of his shop. However, it seems like a nice place, although Chanyeol couldn't help thinking about how it must get kind of annoying being so close to your work all the time.

His mouth forms an 'o' shape at Luhan's words. Frankly, he's a bit surprised since originally the other had instructed him to stop talking, but either way he understood since he himself often needed some background sound to function.

"Oh- well I'm not from here, I moved here for university recently. I still get lost all the time, especially while working." He babbled, his eyes fixed on Luhan's face as opposed to his own arm since honestly, he was really squeamish. Ever since he was a kid the sight of blood made his stomach turn unpleasantly, even his own. 

"I'm not on drugs- that's ridiculous." He let out a sigh before flinching as Luhan wiped an antiseptic of some kind on his wound. "This was a horrible first impression, I'm really a boring person, I don't usually interact much asides from work and ordering coffee." It sounds pathetic to his own ears and he slouches, tempted to drop the conversation but on the other hand, he owes Luhan whatever he wants at this point.

"I don't know those guys well, we have a music class together and I thought everything was fine but as usual I assumed the wrong thing and things got fucked up." A bitterness creeps into his tone as he speaks, usually he doesn't get  so worked up but his emotions are still very heightened from the magic thats been through him and he can feel himself getting more upset by the second.

YELLS IM REALLY SORRY I'VE BEEN REALLY BUSY WORKING ON A PLAY AND I'M JUST GOING TO GET BUSIER BUT I'LL TRY AND HASH OUT REPLIES TONIGHT -

Chanyeol should have just ignored the red note hanging from the door of his apartment, at least for one more day, but instead he stood outside his apartment, bag of groceries dropped and forgotten at his side as the words he'd just read slowly sunk in.

"Eviction notice: As of May 10th, tenant has five days to vacate premises or face legal action."

 It felt like he'd been punched in the gut. He should've expected it, he was months behind on rent and honestly he was a bit surprised it hadn't happened sooner but he wasn't ready for this in any way. He hadn't made any friends he could count on and god knows he could only hop hotels for so long before until his money ran out. Then what? Did he drop out of university to work more hours? Would that save him or would he end up on the streets to face god knows what?

Slowly he sat down, leaning heavily against the door of his (soon to be not) apartment, his head falling back as he stared up at the evening sky. His heart felt heavy and his head was clouded with worries.

He needed help, and he needed it fast.

{'his face practically buried into his chemistry book, he mumbled little formulas to himself to cram for his exam later that day, he accidentally bumped into you and nearly dropped his book, quickly catching it} Oh god, sorry!

Nightwatch {open}

Chanyeol was running late, his deliveries had been on different sides of town and by the time he’d finished it was already dark. It worried him a little, since he still was pretty new here and still hot lost in the middle of the day. To make things even more unsettling, his phone had died and he was forced to walk alone down the dark, deserted streets. 

At least he was in an area that had street lamps, the dingy glow made him feel a little more at ease as he walked along, blowing on his cold fingers in an attempt to warm them up. It was a good half hour until the nearest bus route that would get him back to his apartment and he wasn’t too happy about how cold it was outside.

Something moved audibly behind him and Chanyeol spun, his eyes wide as he scanned the road behind him for what had made the sound. Upon seeing nothing he walked hesitantly  back down the road he’d already walked, peering into the nearest alley, the only place that could be hiding what made the sound. His heart was beating audibly in his chest as he stood at the mouth of the alley, peering in.

“H-hello?”
