Most days, Chara still couldn’t believe it. He was free. He was home—back in Rome, and back with Amphisbaena where he belonged. True, he still wasn’t nearly as free as the average person due to his unique circumstances, but he was far more free now than he had been almost a year ago. He would have called it a new lease on life, but then again, he hadn’t felt fully alive since he was a small child.

He was just starting to work on his own again, and his first solo assignment since his questionable recovery had felt like a slap in the face when he’d initially seen the file. But he should have known, he supposed. This was his chance at redemption; a chance to prove his loyalty. Thankfully, the main task was to capture, not kill—for it was well-established what happened the last time simply killing had been the goal. At this point, the person who wanted Envy gone just wanted the little killer out of the picture. They didn’t care how.

And thus it had come to pass that Chara managed to capture his target with the help of a few poison needles filled with an especially potent sleep-inducing drug. Once back in Italy, he could have taken Envy to his favorite spot to handle isolated dirty work, but considering certain abilities of his fellow killer, that was completely out of the question.

That was why he had ultimately decided to bring Envy back to the security of the Amphisbaena base. Luckily for the both of them, Nero had been out on a mission of his own the night before, meaning that the younger hyena’s twin had yet to find out just who Chara had hidden away in his bedroom.

Just before he returned to his room after a late breakfast, he paused in front of the door and took a deep breath. The little killer was probably awake by now, which meant they would be face to face, alone in a private space for the first time in nearly a year. He needed to do this, but deep down, he wasn’t so sure that he could. Steeling his nerves as much as possible, he exhaled the breath he’d been holding and opened the door to his room, quickly shutting and locking it behind him.

“…Envy. You’re awake.”

A full spectrum of emotions came crashing down him at the sight of those deep, soulless black eyes. There was a rush of anger, hatred, disgust, and fear that filled him, but there were other emotions that he hated himself for feeling; that he knew he shouldn’t feel, yet he couldn’t help it. He was relieved, in a way, to see that the killer had woken up, and there was an annoying flicker of affection that made his chest tighten and threatened to ruin all of his efforts thus far if he indulged it.

He still remembered everything that had happened between them—how could he have forgotten?

But he couldn’t let those memories hold him back now, no matter how much a small part of him was tempted to uncuff his captive and put the handcuffs around his own wrists instead; to beg for forgiveness and offer himself in apology. He did neither of those things, but cleared his throat and walked closer to the bed, leaning over to peel the duct tape off of the killer’s mouth with gloved fingers. The mask he often wore over his emotions for work was already in place, but he had no idea how long it would last around Envy this time.

“I’ll leave this off for now as long as you don’t scream, but the second you try to yell, I’ll have to put more tape back on your mouth—unless you want Nero to hear you, that is. If he comes in here, I can promise that he’ll make things much worse for you than I will.”

Calm could be just as foreboding and dangerous as chaos—such is the origin of the phrase ‘the calm before the storm.’ But Chara had no idea the mistake he’d made; kissing the little killer in such a sweet fashion. He remained unaware for now, and even if he had known, it’s not as though it would have made any difference. He was a lost cause to rational thought, and ideas of rebellion and escape couldn’t have been further from his mind.

They didn’t even exist.

He watched Envy’s reaction to the kiss and stared as if hypnotized, his breath hitching slightly. The gradual stillness, the way the other teen’s fingers caressed the lip Chara himself had just kissed, and the sensual movement of the pierced tongue that followed… All of it combined was such a tempting sight to the captor’s delirious victim, and he could sense that something about the situation had changed, though what exactly had changed still eluded him.

The hand in his hair yanked his head back up off the floor, placing further strain on his upper body as it shifted to accommodate the way Envy controlled the movement of his head and neck—and yet the only sound he made was his own heavy breathing. There was not the slightest peep of a complaint, and when that sinful order came, he simply obeyed.

A warm, moist tongue darted out from between his lips without hesitation, gliding down the length of the little killer’s cock. After that first lick, he doubled his efforts to make sure he did as he was told, roaming his tongue up and down along the erection presented to him; even curling his tongue around a few times. A soft moan escaped him, but his own ears barely heard it. His eyes drifted shut, but he kept going, daring to briefly wrap his lips around the tip of Envy’s erection to roll his tongue over it. His goal was to make it all wet, after all.

He didn’t notice that shutting his eyes hadn’t been voluntary, and he ignored the darkness that was creeping up on him, mistaking it for the blackness of the room instead. Really, it was a wonder he was still awake at all after so much blood loss and all the damage his body has taken thus far. Only adrenaline had been keeping him conscious, but his body was practically at its limit regardless, making him dangerously close to passing out.

A moment later, that was exactly what happened. His eyes remained shut, and he was out cold, unconscious and completely at the mercy of his captor.

Besides being extremely descriptive in your lovely writing, you also give a lot of thought to things like 'inner thoughts' && 'feelings', which is a truly wonderful thing, for it allows us to take a peek into Chara without him actually 'speaking'. But oh my goodness, thank you so much!~ <3 Chara doesn’t always do a lot of talking, depending on the situation, so it’s important to me to still give a window into what he’s really thinking and feeling. Kinda like what I said in my response to the ask Soli sent, it’s also a way for me to get into Chara’s head and really draw from the muse I have for him whenever I’m writing a reply. Assuming I can write undisturbed (which is why I do most of my RPing in the evening/at night, with some exceptions), I get descriptive and let the words flow, and I do my best to be true to his character and the nature of the thread in the process. 

Again, thank you!~ It means a lot that you enjoy reading replies from me so much. <3Oh! And if you ever feel like it, feel free to leave something in my ask to pester Chara somehow. You can always read more from me that way, if you like.~))

Please tell me your favorite things about my portrayal/muse?

((Ahhhhhh, Soli!!! <3 I do try to do as much research as I can, assuming the information actually exists somewhere. I still wish Rejet would give us a definitive answer for Chara’s eye, but I digress. I actually have a better answer for Fantasma’s eye than Chara’s, ironically, because at least the abnormality of Fantasma’s eye has a name and is 100% medically possible through careful surgery, genetics, or a developed condition. Go figure. 

But ahhhh, thank you!~ I always try to build things up in a way that feels appropriate to me so that I can present a good idea of what’s happening for both the benefit of myself and my RP partners, as well as adding to the development of the muse(s). Fleshing out plot buildup and descriptions like that is super important to me as a writer for all of those reasons, and for me personally as a mun, it’s one of the things that I find is key to me being in the proper frame of mind to write for a muse during specific threads. I’m glad you appreciate it so much. ;w; <3 ))

⇛罪┇Meanwhile, unaware of the events which occurred within his very own home, Envy strolled through the grocery store in complete EUPHORIA; a cloud nine. It was like he could finally B R E A T H E. Like he could just suddenly turn around, extend both arms && enjoy life as it is, unaffected by madness nor its twisted ways. If anything…

        He felt NORMAL again.

Is this the blessing of being in ‘love’….? He did not know. Didn’t even care, thoughtlessly placing various items into the shopping basket as if a wholly different person; someone he perhaps once ‘was’ but became forgotten in a maze. Blind, lost && in dismay with no light to guide him home. Well, until a certain little Robin came down to show him the way.

       && now? They were BOTH there.                  Stuck together with BROKEN wings.

Do you perhaps see the tragedy now? Envy was ‘n e v e r’ going to let him go, no matter how much he flaps, wiggles && sings.  “Huh, I wonder if he likes manga…?”  It was all sweetly staged inside that ‘D I S T O R T E D’ head. “There’s way too many…. Hmm…” A perfect wonderland where TEARING OFF feathers && CRUSHING some bones didn’t mean he didn’t actually LOVE Chara! In fact, it WAS all because of it!! “I’ll just take a few then, yeah. Can’t go wrong with that….”

After all, everything felt better with Chara around. That much was clear. It wasn’t just him && mother anymore, no. The non-existent family has finally gotten bigger thanks to him! See?? No reason for ill intent! Envy merely did what was ‘necessary’ for them both to lead a fulfilling relationship, regardless of their rather ‘rocky’ beginning. “Ahhh… I probably should be getting back now. I’m getting reckless….” 

Thus making sure that he got everything - counting up the money - a small realisation eventually nudged the young serial killer; he absolutely FORGOT to dress-up today! Now slowly glancing at the store cameras, pitch-black eyes engraved their putrid sights into the security guard’s tv screen && merely STARED. Didn’t least ‘b l i n k’ as the camera kept rolling. “Far too reckless.. “

That’s when he slowly begun sinking back into the earlier mentality of a KILLER, widening the once loving smile into a DEVILISH && most TWISTED one. The poor security guard didn’t even have the chance to recognise this strange kid before the lights in his small room started to wildly flicker. Going off/on constantly for couple of seconds, followed by an odd ‘buzzing’ noise from the security radio. He didn’t know WHAT was going on, but, it felt quite eerie.

         Now looking back at the screens ahead…..

They were suddenly all obscured by widened eyes, like someone was RIGHT in front of EACH camera &&  ‘s t a r i n g’  directly at ‘HIM’ - which was literally impossible. THEY WERE  LOCATED WAY TOO HIGH! Thus screaming on top of his lungs && falling off the leather chair, the panicked man completely froze in place, unable to tear own gaze away from the countless eyes that followed his movement. They were just so BLACK, so INTENSIFIED… wide….  that you could almost FEEL their MURDEROUS INTENT. 

Oh, how he wanted to call out for help! How he wanted to m o v e && use the radio upon the belt, but, then the all lights fully turned off…. 

     && something told him deep inside…               ‘Don’t look back.’ He wasn’t alone anymore.

Alive. Alive. Alive! His brother was alive! That fact alone brought some lightness to his chest, removing a weight that Nero hadn’t notice was there until it was lifted away. After months of a Schrödinger situation, he had finally been able to remove the box, revealing his twin alive rather of dead. Badly battered, but ALIVE! 

Nero would have liked nothing more than to bask in the presence of his brother, but he also knew that their time was limited. Nero doubted that Envy—or anyone really—would enjoy coming home to find that someone had broken into their house to rescue their captive. How much longer they had until Envy returned was unknown, but Nero wasn’t planning to stick around to time, so he pushed down the relief he felt and focused back on task: assessing Chara’s injuries.

Doctor, he might not be, but Nero hardly needed a medical degree to realize just how hurt his brother was. The signs were all there: the scars, the bruises, the rigidness of motion—and all that was simply on the surface. Those could be healed and forgotten, but there was no way to measure what mental scars might be present as well, and Nero personally knew that those could be worse than anything that could be physically done. Every small scratch on the younger twin’s skin brought a slight tug to Nero’s heart, and every hesitant word added heat to the boiling rage within his gut.

This was Chara! HIS little brother, HIS twin! How DARE someone cause such harm to him?! Rules and procedures aside, he wasn’t simply going to let someone get away with doing such things to his baby brother! 

But he couldn’t focus on that right now; his anger has no target at the moment. He could only assume that the culprit was the killer whose house they were currently in, but said individual was not currently present. Not to mention that—if his assumption was correct—he would rather not stick around for when Envy returns. Even though punching the person who had hurt his brother would be very satisfying, the point remained that his brother was hurt and needed medical attention without being forced to see his captor once more.

Speaking of which, they should probably leave soon to avoid such a thing. While Nero was unaware of where Envy left to, he wouldn’t imagine the other would be gone too long. The elder twin had started to move again, glancing around to see whether there was anything of Chara’s he would need to grab along the way, but he froze when Chara spoke again. While the sound of Chara’s voice was music to his ears, the words themselves stopped his blood cold. His hands—previously lightly squeezing his twin’s hands in return—slackened and hung loose in his grip.  

Chara was… Envy’s? And refusing to leave.

“Chara…? What… what do you mean? I don’t understand…” Shouldn’t Chara be happy to be able to go home? Even if he can’t feel the pain of whatever torture he underwent, the injuries were still there, and they would be much more easily treated at the Amphisbaena base. The younger should be jumping at the chance to escape, yet he was refusing to do so. While the older hyena struggled to understand the behaviours of most people, his twin was usually someone he could easily predict, yet this was proving to be quite the opposite at the moment. 

Was he wrong in his assumption? Was Envy perhaps Chara’s saviour from his true torturer? Is that why he refused to leave, finding comfort in the older killer? It was possible… but something about the idea nudged at him in a weird way. If that was the case, why hadn’t Chara been allowed to call in to report that he was still alive? Surely a saviour would allow Chara to inform his famiglia—or at the very least his brother—that he was still alive. Was he prevented from doing so? 

Or… or did Chara decide to do so? Did Chara want Amphisbaena—want Nero—to think him dead so he could remain here?

Golden eyes widened slightly, a knot forming in Nero’s throat as a flood of possibilities that he hadn’t thought to consider before rushed through his mind. Taking a seat on the bed, the dark haired twin took a moment to just sort through all those thoughts as blank golden eyes stared at intertwined hands, before taking a deep breath and glancing hesitantly back at his brother. He didn’t understand at all, but that wasn’t an unusual thing. At times like these, it was usually Chara who would explain things to his brother,—regardless of the topic—so it made sense for him to refer to his twin once more.

“I… I don’t understand…. What happened, Chara? You went missing for months, and you’re so badly hurt, but you…” He paused, taking a moment to really think about what he wanted to say, what he wanted to ask first. “Who did this to you? Who hurt you so badly? Was it Envy? You said you’re worried about him hurting me, so he’s probably able to do this. But then… then why would you stay if he is? Unless he wasn’t the one to hurt you? I… I don’t…. Please, Chara, please explain this to me.”

Though still unable to feel physical pain, Chara was more than capable of feeling any kind of emotional pain that life mercilessly sent his way. Now he felt a sharp, stabbing sorrow in his chest when Nero’s hands no longer held his so tightly, and he stared down at their joined hands, desperate to suppress the despair he felt. Nero just couldn’t let go now—he couldn’t bear the thought. But he couldn’t let himself become so quickly attached again either. 

With Envy, once he had accepted that he would be staying in the killer’s house and that he couldn’t go anywhere—or better still, didn’t want to go anywhere—it had been so easy for him to become attached. It was as if it were meant to be, he thought, and he’d never had to consider caring for anyone else so long as Envy was around. There was no more pushing other people away; no more hiding his eye or putting up the walls of a callous facade. He’d finally been able to stop running, and it felt so good. 

It had been a long, slippery slope from there into the depths of the darkness that surrounded the killer, and once there, he had clung tightly to the only refuge he could find—Envy himself. It had been instinctual; a perfect fit, to him. They were both broken, but they were broken together, and that made all the difference to Chara’s warped mindset. Ironically, and inaccurately, were he truly thinking clearly, Envy felt like the best, safest choice, and he was so happy! 

...Except... He had chosen to let himself forget; to let Envy manipulate him and slowly let the thoughts of Amphisbaena and his brother slip away from him, no longer nearly as important as his lover. And now here his brother was, inexplicably back in his life and begging for an explanation. It was as if a bucket of icy water had been upended over his head, memories repeatedly resurfacing even as he pleaded with his own mind to keep them away. He knew that he shouldn’t, and yet he couldn’t stop himself from first squeezing Nero’s hands tighter, then slowly, stiffly leaning forward until his back slumped and his forehead rested on his twin’s shoulder. The familiar warmth and scents that he’d grown to associate with the elder hyena over the years were all still there, intoxicating in a way that brought tears to his eyes, and his hands squeezed tighter still. 

“Ti voglio bene, Nero. I mean that, I swear, but I just...can’t. I’m sorry.” Sighing softly, he cleared his throat and sat up again, trying to put some semblance of distance between himself and the old familiarity of his former life, but he still didn’t loosen his own grip. Besides, though it would be difficult to explain, Nero deserved to hear everything face-to-face—that much, Chara could do.

“I don’t remember everything... Some days are clearer and easier to remember than others. But...I meant what I said. I’m with Envy now. I really am his. Since I at least owe you an explanation, I’ll... I’ll try, okay? I’m sorry for not contacting you, but I couldn’t. Initially, the night I’d planned to kill him, well...you know how I can be. I was stupid—really, really stupid. I underestimated him...and his mother. Those rumors mentioned in the file I had are all true, by the way. But I got what I deserved. I haven’t been able to move my arms at all until recently, among other injuries, and...” He paused and glanced to the side for a brief moment, his cheeks actually growing warm and turning a noticeable shade of pink. The memory was, in its own way, a fond one now that he could look back on it and think of it as his first time with his lover. “...If he ever decides to kill me one day, at least I won’t die a virgin. I have him to thank for that, and I’ve been here with him since then.” 

After another pause to compose himself, he continued. “He is the one who did this to me—all of it—but you really shouldn’t try to attack or fight him if he comes back and you’re still here. You’ll lose just like I did, and I don’t want to watch you get hurt. I can’t feel most of what he’s done to me, so it doesn’t really hurt if and when he decides to punish me, but you would feel it, I know. Please, Nero... Just leave and let me stay with him. Maybe I’ll even be able to contact you once in a while, if he’ll let me. I’m not sure how I could best explain it, but...I love him. I’m where I want to be, and I’m lucky enough that I deserve him; to be his. He’s been taking care of me, and he even kept my wrists tied until a few minutes ago so that I wouldn’t move my shoulders too much while they were healing. He’s not scared of my eye, Nero! He likes it! He wants me, and he makes me happy. Please, I... I don’t know what I’d do without him. I want to stay.”

((It’s okay, anon! I’d be willing to bet that Gerardo isn’t actually dead! I’m guessing you’re a different anon than the one who asked about Criminale! R, though, so I’ll explain a little bit about it here.

This past Wednesday, Rejet announced a new spin-off for the Criminale! series that they’ve dubbed Criminale! R. It’s supposed to follow pretty close behind the events of Criminale! Duello, and right here is a translation of the brief plot summary they’ve given us for it so far. Here is the PV, if you haven’t seen it yet.

It’s unknown at this point if the other guys are fully aware of what happened to Gerardo, or if they actually believe him to be alive or dead one way or the other. HOWEVER, Gerardo is included in the cast for the CDs, which is why I’m pretty sure he’s not actually dead. Like I said in that other ask, he’s paired with Fantasma, whom I have a hunch is going to help keep Gerardo safe after the assassination attempt. 

As for the conclave… If the others think Gerardo is dead for real, then it’ll be done because they think they have to choose a new leader again. If the others believe (or know for certain) that Gerardo is alive, then if the conclave actually happens, it’ll probably be done as a way of setting a trap to catch the assassin who tried to kill Gerardo. That’s just my personal guess, and I admit that I could be proven wrong later after we have more info, but it’s what I’m thinking will happen for now.))

Would you say that Chara thinks of Father and Gerardo differently in terms of respectability? Like, ya, they were/are both his bosses, buteven after his death Chara calls Father as 'Father', and even though Gerardo is now the father, Chara still calls him 'Gera'. Do you think it's just Rejet wanting to differentiate between people or would Chara actually respect them differently?

((Oooooh, good question! I’ll start by saying that yeah, part of it probably is just Rejet writing the dialogue in a way that easily differentiates between the former “Father” and Gerardo, because otherwise some of it might be a little confusing for the listener to follow at certain parts. 

That aside, I would say that Chara definitely does view Father and Gerardo differently. 

He does respect Gerardo as his new boss, and he more or less always gets the job done whenever Gerardo sends him out on a mission, even if his methods are pretty risky or unorthodox at times. He has no problem with Gerardo being the new leader, and the change in leadership did not shake his loyalty. He would never turn traitor unless it was under very extreme, highly unlikely circumstances. However, since he knew Gerardo before Gerardo became the new Father...well, old habits die hard and Chara is especially stubborn. “Gera” is his nickname for Gerardo, and he’s not letting that go. 

To me, there’s a sense of familiarity between all the guys that shows in the group tokuten CDs. Granted, the hyena twins are still somewhat distant from the rest in comparison, but it’s obvious they all know each other well enough to work together if they have to. (-gestures to the new Criminale! R with Chara & Lucia and Nero & Tempesta match-ups-) And because of that familiarity, Chara’s nickname for Gerardo isn’t going anywhere. They’re not close, but I feel like they’ve known each other long enough that their relationship and behavior around each other prior to the original conclave supersedes the “Boss and Hyena” dynamic that they also have now unless actual serious orders are involved. 

However, “Father” will always be the previous Amphisbaena head in Chara’s mind. Father is the one who saved him and Nero when they would have otherwise been killed, and nothing and no one is ever going to change that. Chara holds a great, formal respect for the former leader, as well as owing a debt that he feels he can never repay, which is part of the reason he is so loyal to the famiglia. And let’s just say that Father would never be given a slightly silly, almost playful nickname like “Gera.”))

Mun have you noticed the new criminale! Series call criminale!R??? What do you think about it??

I have!!!! Ahhhh, I’m so excited!! I actually woke up just in time to tune into the new drama CD announcements Rejet did on the 23rd as part of their “Endless Summer” event, so I watched the announcement for Criminale! R right when it first happened. I kid you not, I started shaking a little because I was (and still am) so happy and excited that we’re getting more Criminale! content. Something I’ve already mentioned to Soli (the mun of @olderhyena) is that I was kind of surprised to see more Criminale! announced along with the other series that Rejet made announcements for. All of them, with the exception of the new mobile game, are series that have stayed widely popular and successful for Rejet for several years in a row. Seeing Criminale! now included in that same group gives me hope that it’s gotten quite popular in Japan, which in turn means that if that doesn’t change, Rejet will probably keep producing content for it—maybe even a game or anime one day if we’re extremely lucky. I’ve actually seen quite a few Japanese fans on twitter and in youtube comments that keep saying things about hoping for/wanting a game, so here’s hoping Rejet listens and delivers. Maybe a miracle will happen in January when they (presumably) add new game announcements into the mix! 

Sorry for rambling a little there! Now, onto discussing the actual new content since you asked what I think. :’D

Gerardo died? Pfffffft, Rejet, please. I can see him right there with the other guys, and he looks alive and well to me. He’s even in the PV! If he wasn’t, then I’d wonder, but I’m not too worried about him since they kept him in there. My personal guess is that the actual plot is going to be something like this: 

Someone tried to assassinate Gerardo but ultimately failed, and then Gerardo goes into hiding to make the assassin think they’ve been successful—with the intention of drawing out the culprit so they can be dealt with, of course. It would make sense, because he’s even paired with Fantasma, the one most known for being able to stay under the radar of whoever wants to find him. So he’ll probably stay hidden until the last minute with Fantasma’s help, and the 24 hour time limit exists because the “conclave” to choose the next Amphisbaena head would have to happen ASAP; maybe it’d even be rushed along by the would-be assassin. 

As for whether the others actually believe Gerardo is dead or not, I can’t say yet, but I REALLY wish I knew what Chara’s and Lucia’s dialogue says here because while I can’t read the entirety of either line, I’m 100% sure both of them mention Gerardo (or in Chara’s case, “Gera”) by name. If someone sees this post and wouldn’t mind translating those bits of dialogue, I’d be really grateful! <3

Edit because I realized I hadn’t commented on the outfits:

Some of them look so similar to the guys’ previous outfits, but then there’s Chara and Nero with their jackets off (but still tied around their waists) for a change! I’d like to thank Rejet for giving me Chara in a tank top because holy shit yes please. And Nero and Chara are still mirroring each other!!! I love that even though they’re not paired up for a CD again, they still match in different ways.

So while I assume that Chara has problems with scientists and doctors (understandably) what would he do when he's badly hurt? Like, is there some sort of Mafia doctor that he begrudgingly goes to?

((Well...yes and no. He doesn’t go to an independent doctor that Amphisbaena has a contract with, if that’s what you’re asking, hence the “no.” However, he does have a place to go—several options, in fact. He just goes to the closest one, depending on his location when he gets hurt. I’d always figured that Amphisbaena had a doctor (or doctors) at their base, and maybe some sort of medical ward since a job with a high level of danger tends to eventually equate to some pretty serious injuries. And I was right!

In the last track of Chara’s Criminale! X CD, Chara actually wakes up in bed in what’s basically a hospital room. Despite the language barrier, I’m 100% sure that said hospital room is actually a room in one section of a branch base that Amphisbaena has in Prague. He’s not too happy about being there once he gets enough energy back to complain about it, but that’s where he stays for the whole track. Side note here: Idk for sure what put him there since my Japanese is severely lacking, but I have a hunch that it has something to do with him briefly faking his death earlier on during the CD volume’s plot. Good job there, Chara. You fake your death and yet you nearly kill yourself for real anyway.

So to answer your question, if he really needs to, he’ll go to the medical wing of the nearest Amphisbaena base. If the injury is minor (and I use the term ‘minor’ very loosely here since this is Chara I’m talking about) enough that he can get away with tending to it himself, he will, or he’ll ask Nero to do it for him if something prevents him from doing it properly on his own.))

Okay, imagine Criminale! became a game (think RPG, maybe) and each of the boys were 'bosses'. What would Chara's boss fight music be? And overall, what song do you associate with Chara?

If I’m being semi-realistic about this for a choice, since most boss fights typically have purely instrumental music or very minimal lyrics, I’m gonna say this song. It’s an instrumental version of “Escapist” by Nightwish. The instrumental version sounds amazing and is fittingly epic for a boss fight. If you listen to the original with the lyrics, the lyrics fit Chara pretty well in my opinion. 

As for another song I associate with Chara...that’s a tough one because I actually have several songs that I associate with him. If I have to pick just one, I’ll go with one I haven’t mentioned on this blog before, “Unbecoming” by Starset. There are lots of others, but some of them have been mentioned and/or reblogged here already.))
