✺ DATE & TIME: may 15th, starting at 8 p.m. friday & running until 11 p.m. !

★ LOCATION: rhythm & waves festival grounds !

✺ DETAILS: the owners of the rhythm & waves festival have been feeling nostalgic lately ... with all the recent buzz around town and musicians continuing to flock to town, they figured now was the perfect time for an open mic ! nothing's better than live music with community, and they want our local talent front and center ! our very own hometown musicians will be showcasing their talents, spread between two stages so there's something playing for everyone ! wristbands given upon entry, with bars on the sides of either stage.

WHAT THIS MEANS OOC:

you and your characters are not required to participate in this event, however, it is highly encouraged ! this event will begin friday, may 15th, and last until friday, may 29th. this can be done through normal dash threads, text threads, social media posts, outfit edits, and anything else that your heart desires ! we will have a SIGN UP SHEET HERE if you would like your muse to be a musical participant. this will be closed on wednesday, may 13th. we ask that you tag 'CIDERPOINTOPENMIC', so that we don't miss out on any of the fun ! non - event threads do not need to be paused, but you may feel free to focus on event threads. we hope you all have so much fun, and happy writing ! ♡

with all of this success ( steak too juicy, lobster too buttery ), we're experiencing an extended period of all mun spots being taken, leaving our group closed to the public ! we'd like to take a moment to shout you all out for continuing to make new connections with each other and keep this group thriving without new faces coming in. it's a huge show to your dedication, and we're so thrilled ! that being said, if you find yourself in need of assistance with current or future muses, please be sure to either im / inbox the main off of anon, or to utilize the members suggestions channel in our server ! everyone is always happy to lend a hand, and it helps us determine if there's outside interest in our group.

as we continue to grow, housekeeping continues to be needed ! we'll be conducting our first sweep through the cider sounds channel in our discord server on 05/06, to give you all a few days to revive anything you feel you still need a little more time with ! after this date, we'll be going through and deleting anything over thirty days old. we also regularly conduct house keeping on cidersounds here on tumblr, and would like to nudge you all to give your ims a looksee !

happy april, friends ! as usual, our town calendar is live ! we encourage you all to use these events for thread, musing, and / or starter inspiration. if you have anything you'd like us to add, please feel free to reach out to the main !

we recently implemented a plotting hub to our ooc discord server ! if you haven't started utilizing this, we encourage you all to look through your taken connections and get plotting threads started for any connections that are in need of a little more love ! as a reminder, these plotting sessions will be cleaned up at the beginning of each month ( if they are no longer in use ), so we recommend keeping a personal record of these plotting sessions.

we'd like to give one more gentle nudge to be sure that if you're reacting for closed starters, that you are also replying to the ones written for you ! if closed starters feel a bit too much, we'd like to give everyone a gentle nudge to use our ciderstarters blog as a resource. you're more than welcome to post new opens ( as long as you've replied to at least two beforehand ), and these opens are cappable. if we notice this issue going forward, we will be sending out personal ims, just to see what's going on and if there's anything we can personally do to lighten the load. if anyone has any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do reach out to the main !

lastly, but certainly not least, our very first PLOT DROP has hit the dash ! while participation is not mandatory, it's likely your muse will at the very least have some knowledge of what's going on, so we highly encourage you all to look it over and get a little silly with it ! we hope you have so much fun, and thank you all for another wonderful month living in cider point ! ♡

happy march, friends ! we've given the main a little spring refresh, and we'd love it if you took a look around ! we also wanted to take the time to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our members, old and new, for your continued dedication to our group. we're going on seven months of cider point, and we've loved seeing how our little town has grown. we are truly, and wholeheartedly, so appreciative of you all and we look forward to many, many more ! ♡

in honor of our seven month milestone, we've decided to celebrate ( a little early ) ! our muse cap will be raising to eight per mun, and will likely be our last increase. we love, love, love that you all have so many wonderful ideas for new additions, and we can't wait to see them be incorporated ! with the increase in muse limit, we will also be raising our limit on how many connections may be taken per mun. this limit will be raised to six connections per mun !

given the increase in muses, we're sure we'll be seeing more starters on the dash. we wanted to give a gentle nudge to be sure that we're all taking the time to reply to closed starters that are written for us ! we've noticed that these can sometimes be overlooked, and we'd like to prevent anyone from being discouraged by this.

first things first, we wanted to take the time to thank you all for your continued dedication and support to our little town ! it means so much to us that you're all as passionate about this group as we are, and we feel so lucky that you've all found your way to us ! we're so excited for all the new things that will be brought to our dash this year ♡

that being said, our current interest check is up and running ! the cut off for this check will be monday, 01/26, so if you plan on keeping any / all of your muses, please head on over and give it a like !! we will be continuing with regularly scheduled interest/activity checks on a bi-weekly basis now that everyone's had a chance to settle into the new year !

to ease you all back into your characters after the holiday, we wanted to present you OUR FIRST TASK ! for this task, we ask you to write a self para about a new year that was especially important / impactful for your character ! perhaps we were so back, perhaps it was so over ... we want to see the good, the bad, the ugly ! you are not limited to just one, if the muse strikes you to write more !

cider point's november calendar is live ! head on over to see what's happening around town throughout the month of november, and feel free to use these events for starter / thread inspiration at any time during the month !

teddy's haunted birthday is coming to a close. it's been full of tricks and treats, and we've had so much fun watching all the different plot developments play out on the dash ! we ask that as of today, ( sunday, 11/09 ), no new starters are posted, and that party threads are closed out by friday, 11/14.

it's time for some cidersounds housekeeping ! we would like to remind you all to please message the main or cidersounds, if and when connections are taken. this helps keep things organized, and prevents overlap in plotting. we would also like to ask that you take a look through the open connections, and pick up connections that you think your muses could fit. we have great ones open still, and we love seeing you all interact with each other ! we would also like to urge everyone to give themselves a little plot refresher. we ask that you go through your muses taken connections on the blog, and make sure that the connections are being played out on the dash. if you have connections that were taken before character development, we're offering everyone the chance to reopen / swap out connections that might be a better fit. if you are planning on reopening / swapping out, we ask that you give your current plotting partner a head's up. this is purely to get plots refreshed, and connections flowing on the dash. if one of your plots is reopened, but you'd like to keep the dynamic, we'll be giving the opportunity to rewrite / repost the connection for someone else to take !
