the fact that this is the couple that Isayama wants you to see at the end of his work! 🫡
And also,
what he drew at the end of the manga serialization back in 2021
My JeanKasa art commission by @weis_sen on Twitter.
They're doing art commissions to support a fundraiser for G@za. If you have the means, and would like to get a personalised JeanKasa fanart, check them out.
more musicians should write about completely made up situations. i dont wanna hear another breakup album thats obviously just the singer venting about their ex. its boring. i dont care. make up some OCs and write crazy POV songs about them killing eachother.

GREAT DAY FOR BRAZIL, FELLAS!!!
ok i might need to elaborate on why this is such a big deal.
So, Brazil had a dictatorship, military coup, that lasted from 64 to 85. On this time period (and i'll be really short) we had like 5 dictators and oh god, so, SO MUCH torturing, censorship and repression.
People that were killed are still missing. And none of the military heads that did it were ever arrested. Much less judged. Much less sentenced.
There was this air of impunity, that Brazil would not move forward because when push came to shove, no one arrested the big guys, the masterminds, the people that caused all of that.
UNTIL NOW
Bolsonaro is a fucked up right winger, backed by Trump. When this spineless coward lost it's election, he, just like Trump, incited a riot (ours was January's 8, 2023) that tried to silence the opposition and change the election results.
The people on the said riot went through trial and many paid fines or got arrested.
But the military core and Bolsonaro still walked free. We we fought for this not to repeat.
So for the VERY FIRST TIME IN THE STORY OF THIS COUNTRY, we finally, FINALLY, got justice against those who attempted against the democracy. And for that he was found guilty of:
Armed militia.
Attempt of violent dissolution of the democratic state.
Coup d'etat
Qualified damages for violence and serious threat (they had a plan to kill the actual president, Luís Inácio, and the supreme court head, Alexandre.)
Deterioration of historic heritage
And for those crimes, he's sentenced for 27 seven years and 3 months of jail time.
Not only this, the rest of the heads went with him. 26 years for the ex-minister of defense Walter Braga Netto, 24 years for the ex-minister of justice and secretary of defense Anderson Torres, ex-commander of the marine Almir Garnier got 24 years. Augusto Heleno, ex-minister of security affairs got 21, another ex-minister of defense got 19, and lastly, Alexandre Ramagem, who was the director of Brazil's intelligence agency got 16 years.
I can't explain, without telling the whole story of the last 100 years of this country how big this is.
This is a landmark. This change tides. This gave us hope.
Armin and Annie Arlert with their three children: Brita, Ulrike [“Oolee”], and Felix
--------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve never really gotten into character shipping.
My response to ships is usually “yeah, I can see why people like them together” or “why are people having shipping wars over fictional characters?," but I never really felt any strong emotion towards on-screen romantic relationships in general.
It wasn’t until I was looking into something else that I came across AruAni on Pinterest, which really ignited something inside me.
To my surprise, it wasn’t an “OMG!! I LOVE THEM TOGETHER!! type of reaction or even a "Aww, this is so cute!", but instead, it was one of mental and emotional frustration:
“This relationship, by all outward appearances and textbook typology, shouldn’t work. But it does. And it bothers me that it does.
Why does it work? How is it even possible? I’m experiencing all these *feelings* that I don’t understand. What is going on with me? I don't get why this is bothering me so much, but both my head and heart are going to explode if I don’t figure this out…!”
And that’s how things ended up here: me drawing fan art of Armin, Annie, and their 3 made-up kids and sharing it on the internet. It's something I never thought I would end up doing.
Maybe because I’m in my early 30s now and thinking more about marriage and family? Or perhaps because delving into this specific ship has also been strangely therapeutic for a variety of reasons?
Either way, it’s been both fun and challenging to imagine Armin and Annie’s relationship dynamics and what it would be like for them to go through normal life together as a family, in any universe.
And for the first time in quite a while, it's something I feel excited to explore and share :)
Post-Rumbling idea,
Mikasa teaching new mother Annie lullabies that her own parents used to sing with her. Annie was never sung to as a child so didn't know any for her own newborn so Mikasa offered to teach her.
Armin walks in and is brought to tears hearing the two women singing together to his and Annie’s newborn, Annies voice especially cause it reminds him of his own mother when she sang to him.
People who say casca and mikasa aren’t well written hate female characters who actually feel anything. They can’t handle women showing emotions; they only respect them if they’re punching, stabbing, or being “hard and tough” all the time.
