Jake found himself meandering his way slowly toward the main cabin, a piece of him dreading what would be waiting there for him. He promised Maia he would try yet again to make peace with Cierra but that didn’t make it any less awkward as he slumped into a swinging chair with a matching one just a few feet away. In his hands he held two bottles of beer, hoping they would serve as both an ice breaker and a peace offering. Cierra nervously tapped the heel of her boot against the hardwood floor for a few seconds her anticipation of seeing Jacob getting the best of her. She had told herself accepting her bestie’s boyfriend would be the right thing to do. Still it didn’t make her feel any last uncomfortable about meeting up with the Australian boy. Cierra reached for the bottle he offered and took a small sip to alleviate her frosty attitude. ‘Nothing much to share just yet.” She replied trying to keep her tone light. “It’s not a big deal. I mean I think it’s about time we squash this thing.”

mai: it was good! the first part was tough with my nan passing away but we tried to make the best of the rest of our time in oz. We refurbished my grandparents old camper van and drove it up to Brisbane and took our time seeing some sights and camping out along the way.
