Last week done

So, it was the last week of uni and i must say it has been one hell of a year! Its been amazing and ive loved every second!

Monday we had tutorials on the afternoon and the morning we all just did what we had to get what we could completed!

On tuesday my group had the second photography session and it was amazing! I loved it! I felt so at home behind the camera! And cant wait to see results for the shoots we did!

Wednesday was the last tasks for photography workshops of evalutaion and again, it was amazing! I loved getting hands on with something i loved! I’ll be extatic if i get onto the photography course! After having an experiance in the studio, behind the camera, i couldn’t be more hopeful!!

This week

Okay so this week,

on monday we all finished our presentations! So for the rest of the morning then was independant untill the afternoon which was IT working on our catalogues and any other bits of work.

On tuesday i then had a photogrPhy 3D session downstairs in the studio photographing work for portfolio. I actually enjoyed this session! Then during the afternoon we was back in IT for more computer based work.

On wednesday my group started the photography work shop. It was just an introduction to this workshop and for next week we must bring in some props to work with in the studio downstairs. Ill also bring my camera to use for this project.

I had also got my testers back last week from my photo’s that i plan to use for exhibition and i am quite proud of how they turned out...

Okay, so last week...

So last week in our little sections again shall we:)

Monday, we continued with out presentations during the morning and then after lunch we had it. Ive been going to both it lessons the past couple of weeks to get my catologue finished. Almost done, just a tad more info for each artists and then ill have completed my information. I had also worked on my photoshoo for my exhibition which i am please with the turn out. I get to see my testers tomorrow and hope that they turn out how i plan:)

Also on the morning we went round the textiles rooms to see what happenes, what machenary there are and what we our options are should we choose.

On tuesday morning, we had tutorial portfolio to help us prepare our portfolios and what work we are to use in them to help us build up! (I went and brought my photography portfolio that day too) then on the afternoon i went back too the it session and carried on with my catalogue information.

On wednesday we had our last illustration workshop and im quite pleased with turn out to be honest:p

This week

So this week it has been pretty much the same. Our monday mornings consist of cataloge and finishing any work we need to for end of year as well as learning and doing an historical line for our passion (where we started and were we would like to finish) and then powerpoint presentations up untill 1pm.

Monday afternoons (for my half of the group) are in tutorials where we are getting feedback on any work we show and where we can improve and build upon!

Tuesday mornings consist of portfolio buildup and completion of work ready for end of year. Disgussing work progress completion and where we would like to go in terms of career and path choices.

Tuesday afternoons (for my half of the group) are our IT sessions which for the next week and today we shall be building upon our catalogue presentation and how to put one together.

Tomorrow for my group, group 2 shall be illustation workshop. Tomorrow we shall be doing the final tweeks and perks and any alterations ready to use the riso machine following week (unless before) for our final piece.

Last week

So discussing what we had done last week. So in monday morning lectures we are still talking about catalogue work, the history of arts and what we feel we can fit into our work and how we can pick up from the history line to making our own from start to finish.

Then we had started our powerpoint presentations and must i say everyone has done, is doing and i believe shall do a spectacular job on them and standing up infront and giving out their idea’s. Each one is very facinating to watch and learn from and each different one is intriging every time!

On momday afternoon (for my half of the group) its tutorials where we get feedback on any work done and any that needs completing. Im currently working on my catalogue and awaiting feedback on case study but so far as im aware im doing good!

To tuesdays, on the morning we are doing portfolio work and what is believed to go into our end of year portfolio ready to show for next year when we move onto our desired course and for this we have jo burges and julia rowley helping us progress (and i couldn’t thank them and every other turor enough for all their hard work and effort into helping us all succeed!)

Tuesday afternoons (again for my half of the group) is IT sessions which are catalogue build up to create our catalogue for the artists in which we have chosen (to do or not to do with out presentation<which ever we choose we feel is our inspirations>)

Then on wednesdays we have changed rotations again so tomorrow and next week group two are doing illustation and i must say im actually failey enjoying it. We have also been shown the riso machine in which we will be using for the end of process.

Last couple of weeks

Okay so since being back i have forgotten to post the past couple of weeks so i am going to give you all a little catch up.

On monday’s we have been learning about art history timelines. Where it all started and its progression, from painting to photography to modernism and so on. We also need to do our own timeline on how we started to get to where we are now. Mine is obviously photography.

We have then been having tutorials and catch ups and finishing off work pieces ready for hand in in may. I believe i have completed my statement of intent and my case study, so now its completing any unfinished tasks and working on my end of years project.

I would happily like to say, that i have FINALLY finished my screen printing! Which i LOVE! By the way!!

I havent been able to do my hot glass workshop due to missing the health and saftey so im currently only working on that design at this moment.

I have just started a poster on the info graphics task and its on our journey of how we started out to where we are now.

Im also starting a poster on a powerful message using either image or text.

We are also now working and putting together our end of year projects. We have 7-8 weeks left to complete our tasks and end of year project so now we need to get our heads down and stay focused!

Week 3

So this week has been pretty much self directed as yesterday (monday 4th) we all had five minute talks on what our idea’s are for the exhibition at the end of the year and today we are self directed if we havent been seen, but we gonna be back by half 12 for julia to speak to us.

Tomorrow is final day or print workshop but im a tad behind so im use the rest of the week to sort it out and complete it (hopefully).

Right now though, im just continuing my sketchbook:)

This week so far.

So yesterday we recapped on our art gallery visit and then went to the library to research up on catalogs so we have an idea of what we must do for ours.

And today we have been given our second task for our statment of content and are currently in a talk on glass and ceramics.

Starting to work towards our exhibition projects.

Last week // late again :/

So last week on monday we took a trip to the art gallery to see the way different work is put out on display and how each peace is worked with in its environmental display.

We then had to go to the hand drawn exhibition and choose three different artists that stopd out to us and then on that afternoon answer the questions give to us about the exhibition our thoughts anc changes.

On the tuesday we saw last years exhibition for the foundation year at uni and what work they did as we now need to work towards our project aswell as have three artists ready to present on powerpoint in 6 weeks time. (Oh god)

And on wednesday we are on our last rotational workshop. My group (2) is print, we only had the indition and health and saftey on how it works and what we do and don’t do. We then had to produce some work ready for this weeks session.

In time this week... xD

Okay so on monday, we exchanged pieces of paper that we drew on of something that was really precious, mine was a neclace and a jumper and i exchanged with denise who’s was her wedding ring.

We then had to write a scentance underneith which explained in their or our words what it ment to them. As the taxt was description.

The next task for the morning was to then strip a piece of object given to us down and switch papers, once switched we had to draw what was written. The aim was not to guess the object but to draw the description (though some got competative but hey)

After this we then carried on with our case study.

The same on tuesday, we had our interim assessments (ill get seen next week as they didnt have time for us all) and we then had to carry on building up our case study and or sketchbook.

Today was group 2’s last media session and i got mine completed!! It was 10 places or things that best describes us or where we want to go our past presant and future self and we had to turn those pictures into a short film. I finished mine finally and im pretty pleased with the outcome :3

Late for last weeks again :/

So last week on monday we where looking at colour. We looked at different artists and how they use colour in their work, use different shapes and how it all contrasts and compliments each other. One that really stood out to me was beatrice milhazes. Her work was very eye catching and the way she put it all together really made the piece of art stand out!! I wrote just a small bit about her work and what i saw and why i really liked her out of the rest! I also wrote a paragraph on what colour represents to me. Now ill upload a photo but weather or not you can read it is a different story..🤣

In our I.T sessions, we are focusing on our case studies untill the end of semester so i shant need to write to much about that as it is something we are all doing and working differently on.

On tuesday, we were catching up on our work, and being seen to see how we are doing on our work. We had then also watched a short film on a guy called thomas hedrwick i believe but unfortunatly it being last week, i can’t quite remember what we had seen as about half way it had to be turned off due to some technical difficulties so it has kind of slipped my mind :/

On wednesday we got more of our media done. Im getting a little frustrated with it as i am trying to match the timings with the photos without being to long or to short but currently its a challange as everytime so far i have had to start again:/ lets hope this week will go better ay!

Abit late for last week...

So last week monday was off the cards as i was not in, but on tuesday, we has a talk with aguy called max stewert! He was quite interesting with what he started to do and what he ended up in!

He went in to fine art and theatre and has came back and ended up in teaching glass and ceramics! He was very informative with how he got to where he was and what work he did! How he holds his folders and portfolios and how he just gains information and ideas from around him!

He mentioned how when he makes his moulds he starts with a wax sculpture and then he does his design from there before putting it through the kiln and making it into a piece if art!

On wednesday we then got put into our next group. Mine is now meida and we are making a small videi file of ten past present and future things that represent us our memories and our pathways to where we would like to end up.

I have my list but you’ll get that this week as untill im certain, i dont want to give anything away ;p

So far this week..

So yesterday we had a talk session with dean kelland, a photographer. He showed us his work, tokd us he did a masters in photography and went on to tell us how he never expected to do so much work of himself being infront of the camera and shown us a five minute video of him being trapped in his character.

Then in I.T i scanned my design onto illustrator and started to work with it to get etched for tomorrow’s 3D session!

Today this morning we had to come up with a design using similarities from our sketchbook to creat a 3D model! Mine isn’t really anything that is in my book as i find inspiration hard to find when it comes to drawing so i drew what came to mind and now i have to figure out how im going to putnit together.

Now this afternoon, we are working on our case study. I have decided to go with a photographer called thomas heaton.

The way he works and his inspiration he lets out to others is wonderful piece of art and id love to ready more about that.

So today i soent some independent time in univesity to try and get me some more work on my 3D design completed.
