On Semblances
With so much about Semblances being shown this season, serious shower thoughts have made me realize exactly what they are. Warning that this is all theorycrafting.
I may be hella wrong in some cases, or grasping at straws but oh well.
Semblances are a physical manifestation of Personality.
Ruby acts before she thinks, manifesting in Speed.
Weiss is both pushy and pressured to do everything, Manifesting in her Push(White)/Pull(Black) Semblance. (”Whats the Red Glyph we saw in S1 then!?” From what my guess is, that was interaction with Ruby that turned it red, making it into a SpeedPush/SuperPush)
Blake is not used to dealing with a problem head-on, but instead gathering intelligence. This manifests oddly , but her abilities are more infiltration styled then the others.
While Yang is energetic but can get angry easy, translating into the superpowered mad side with fire. (heat IS energy afterall.)
Pyrrha is a very attractive person both in personality and in looks (IMO), drawing people towards her to admire her, so hers comes out as Magnetism.
And Nora is a big ball of energy, so electricity would make the most sense there, she also relies on her strength instead of her mind so it channeling into her muscles works.
Glynda seems like an extreme neat-freak, so her semblance of Organization would make a lot of sense there. However from training as a Huntress, she has figured out how to weaponize it.
I don’t quite know Cinder’s yet, mostly because we don’t know a lot about her yet, so its hard to tell with her.
... I just realized we’ve only seen female semblances, no male has used theirs, except maybe Jaune, but that may of been his Aura.
Edit: It has come to my attention that we’ve seen Sun’s Semblance too but I don’t remember it and that will be thought upon.
