My Midnight Shooting Star.
I carry stardust in my fingertips,
still laced with the echo of her laugh.
She passed through my life like light
too wild to hold, too bright to last.
There was no promise.
Just presence.
Moments that felt like forever now feel like they never existed.
I never really had her.
But I still miss her
like something I lost.
She was my shooting star
and maybe everyone else’s, too.
But for one flicker of time,
she lit up just for me.
Now, I write in silence,
with fingers dusted in what remains
the shimmer of almost,
the glow of what if,
the burn of love that couldn’t stay..
