what was your favourite movie in the last 2-3 years?
I watched Sicario some months ago, thought “wow it’s suprisingly great for a drug war movie”. Then I kept thinking about it for the next day, week, month. Truly exceptional cinematography (Deakins), actors, plot, characterization or in some casees, the lack of it.
From the current “Oscar season” I think Three Billboards deserved best picture, but I also loved Dunkirk. Definitely Nolan’s best, and I don’t usually like his movies. The Fishfucking one is a cinematic crime.
