              “What, are we going to play hero like we did when I was a kid?” he snorts through his nose, “Guess it’s not playing anymore now that I have my license, dad.”

As Tenko put his weight on him, Touya moved an arm around him. Touya knew what it was like to be condemned for his quirk, he couldn’t count the amount of time people had been caught in the crossfire of his quirk. The burns were never pretty.

“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Touya spoke softly, moving to get them both out of the bar before anything sparked a debate. The last thing anyone needed was a million news articles defaming the both of them for being in a bar brawl.

              Tenko groaned softly, following Touya out of the bar without protest.  His head was starting to spin, and he hadn’t much mind to be angry with Touya for any reason.  He was more angry with the press than anything.

             “You’re...  you’re a good friend, Touya...” he muttered, fingers buried in Touya’s sleeve except for his pinkies.  “Sure, I got that guy’s elbow, but he shouldn’ta tried to sucker...  sucker...  slug me.”

The only problem with being often seen working with Tenko was that when something was happening, Touya was the first anyone called to come help him, even in the early hours of the morning. Upon entering the shady bar Touya was immediately on guard, noticing some side glances from other patrons as he approached his friend.

Spotting his gloves he hastily offered them to the other, a soft sigh leaving him.

“C’mon    Tenko, let’s get you home.” He offered the gloves to the other, using his other hand to clear the dust from the bar top and then him.

                 Tenko swore under his breath before putting his gloves back on with only a little difficulty.  He’d had to take them on and off in worse situations, after all.  “Stupid fucking news piece,” he muttered.

                 “Who’s a danger to society?!” his voice was getting louder as he leaned against Touya to steady himself, completely unaware that he was starting to make a scene.

                 Face firmly placed against Touya’s shoulder, he continued to ramble on for a few moments before tapering off.  “...Don’t tell All...  All M...  Dad,” he finished with, as if he wasn’t an adult who was responsible for his own actions.  Some habits died hard.

                    Tenko is sloppy drunk, and that’s a problem, especially when he starts thinking it’s a good idea to take his gloves off.  As soon as the other walks into the shady bar, he grabs the bottle to chug from and taps it with his pinky, disintegrating it.

                     “Fuck!” he waves his hand around, trying to get the dust off.  He had only taken his gloves off because his hands were sweaty, and now it’s all stuck to his hands.  “To-...  Touya, help me get this shit off my hands!”

                     “This always happens,” he slurs.

           Tenko scrambles back, away from the other man.  Who is he, and where has Tenko ended up?  It looks like a bar, but there’s no one inside except him and the shadowy barman standing in front of him.  More than anything, it looks like a villain hideout.

            “Stand back- I don’t want to hurt you,” he says grimly.

            He rummages in his pockets as much as he can for his gloves, but strangely they’re not there.  Last thing he remembers, he was preparing for hero business at the office, so that makes sense, but it doesn’t make sense that he’s here at all.  Tenko remembers feeling light headed, but that’s it.  Next thing he knew he was here.
