This game was in the bag.
Gold, despite being his own team, had an (un)surprising advantage over the two in this contest of sorts, having only taken a few sips of his first drink- generous as they were, just to be fair. He leans back and watches Dawn haphazardly try and pop the ball into his cup, not at all hiding the obvious smirk that works itâs way onto his face.
Almost, almostâŠ
âCâmooon, seriously?! You probably canât even tell which wayâs left and you still got it in?â Gold whines, but plucks the ball from the cup and downs the rest of the beer from it with relative ease. He adds once last hmph, but his expression shifts into something more devious.
âAlright, howâs this then- if I get this shot it, Diaâs gotta down the rest of the bottle. He looks like heâs enjoyinâ himself enough, so I figure this wonât hurt âim at all!âÂ
A boisterous laugh left the boyâs lips, amused at Dawnâs luck (and perhaps skill) with her shot. He gave her a congratulatory high-five, despite missing his first attempt.
Now, clearly, this was not going to be a very healthy move for the 16-year-old. One full drink and he was already swaying with the unbalance that comes with a drunken state. If he had thought through the offer rationally, his immediate response would have been to decline the upped bet.
Unfortunately, that wasnât the case.
âI dâdonât have a problem wit itâ hic!â Dia slurred, attempting to make his speech comprehensible to the best of his ability. No, it really couldnât get any worse. Well, with the exception of him passing out from the intense intoxication, thatâs about how drunk he was going to get, with his lightweight tendencies. Was that the way Gold was going to play? Bring it on. âBut it has tâbe farther away frum yaâ otherwise, thatâs cheatinâ!â
Score!!!
That was actually a pretty shot, she had to admit to herself. Though, it probably was so bad to a bystander's perspective, preferably one that wasn't as drunk as the trio was. Nevertheless, Dawn was ecstatic to have made the shot.
Jumping up and down, a wide grin could be found on her face as she turned around to give one of her best friend a high five. Though they missed at first, due to their stupor, they somehow managed to connect the second time. Dawn was a little concerned to see how drunk Dia had been though. Was he really that lightweight?
"You can do it, Dia! I believe in you!"
She clapped her hands together in a way that she hoped was encouraging and it somewhat brought her back to the days when she was a personal cheerleader for her friends. Â It's not to say she wasn't cheering for Gold, but it didn't seem like he needed any help, no offense.
"Give 'em your best shot!!!"
