Sometimes we miss people simply because they gave us attention, maybe not the right type of attention, and maybe they were toxic peopleâŠbut we still miss them. Especially on the days when weâre alone. I want to encourage you not to go back to people simply because you miss them. Evaluate the entirety of the situation and realize that there are so many people you have yet to meet and any one of them could provide you with what you lost.
Every fucking young masculine female I work with is transitioning. 4/5 did not know the cardiovascular side effects of T. 1 also has autism, 1 âpsychosisâ. Two introduced themselves as trans but walked that back to NB or Gender fluid upon further conversation but still saw T as the only way to be themselves. All 5 responded to my mention of my partnerâs detransition after successfully living as a man for 5+ years by saying âso, she wasnât really trans?â
4/5 were same sex attracted, partnered to females or other FTMs.
Young women are trying to survive, they see that masculine lesbians are disrespected. Of course theyâre going to buy into what one coworker called âcozy, affirmative validationâ as men.
Why canât you be female and masculine?why do females need to damage their body to feel safe and validated? Who decides that itâs safe to give mentally ill young women hormones to become someone new rather than counsel them to find the self thatâs already there hiding under years of shame and misogyny?

Statistically the more people who jump into transition hastily the more will detransiton or suffer worsened mental/physical health as a result. Might as well consider this now!
I know itâs hard to accept that pro-gatekeepers have met these people with legitimate regrets who the trans community claims donât exist! Erasing people who have been there and done that is very divisive and invalidating to the experiences of the real people who wish their dysphoria had been managed more holistically. I highly suggest reading the book that ruined his career. Itâs called Dark Alliance and it connects the CIA, the crack epidemic, and the Contras. Itâs a difficult read, and if you canât manage to slog through it (a LOT of names to keep track of), then a really great documentary was made called American Drug War: The Last Great White Hope that also links the three, itâs 2 hours long and for free on YouTube.Â
