I don't want to be a debby downer here, but I'm feeling kinda isolated in this tadc ordeal. I'm a mixed race person (black + wasian) so I think my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt and you should focus of black voices on this matter.

But I'm of the belief that what Michael, Ashley and Gooseworxs did wasn't alright. I struggle to find the humor in dancing around saying the n word as well as care that it was in 2019.

That's not my point though. My point is that it's genuinely uncomfortable seeing so many people immediately shut down the conversation with any excuse they can muster and act like it was nothing. It hurts even more seeing people repeat that "joke" to get a rise out of others.

I'm tired of it being like this in fandom spaces. I think it's sick and disgusting every time black people are hurt by the community or the creators of a piece of media that those black people are then shut down, mocked, and punished for speaking up about it. It's not just TADC, it's not just indie media, it's not just online. My experience with racism is not the same as it is what mono race or even different black mixed people, but it just feels tiring ya know.

Idk if I wanna keep drawing ship art with tadc it just leaves a yucky taste in my mouth rn.
