PERFECT CROWN 21세기 대군부인 | 2026, Ep. 1
I have NO idea what’s going on in the first ep of this drama but I do know I am super super in love!
Queen Woo was like: The worst person i know was scared of my husband.
Queen Woo was like: The worst person i know was scared of my husband.
gosh, if i abandon my wife for the queen, my wife’s family won’t help me anymore, but i need the queen to be king WHAT DO
murder wife? murder wife
you just GOTTA love this man’s logic
Queen Woo had me down in the first two episodes for completely unromantic political intrigue that happens to involve marriage in order to avoid dying and your whole family being killed but then unfortunately it introduced Lee Soo-hyuk as an insane evil prince and now I'm like yes, actually, Third Prince capturing Queen Woo and forcing her to marry him as a power move (and also bc how could she show up at his house fully intending to marry him and then just leave???? how does he feel knowing that???? SUCH AN UNDERSTANDABLE CHOICE WITH THE BODIES FLOATING IN THE WATER. he must be dying inside right now) would be extremely hot. Hope that works out for him.
he loved her enough to let her go
when they wanted to dethrone her , he told them to leave
King knew they would kill her though and told her to leave and be safe
the women he loves, his wife, who was there from the beginning her being alive and safe was more important then being with her
eul pa so and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day (the man of his life has been poisoned to death and the woman of his life must secure a second marriage to save her family; he has failed one love and can barely protect the other)
Man: loses beloved princess wife.
Man: needs to go to grief counseling but that ain't to be had in Joseon.
Man: discovers color theory instead.
Man: copes with grief by obsessing over clothes lining.
Man: could have gotten obsessed with beheadings or other men's wives so all considered:
This is one beautiful man.
Also this was delightful:
Honestly, the crazier he gets, the more I like him.
Finally he's had enough with her.
The way he starts shirt removing like a mini cdrama ML ahahah
Tell her! Yes!
YESSSS LIKE LADY YOU ARE STILL VVVVV MUCH MARRIED!
I sympathize with you not being able to give up a man this prime but once again, at least get a divorce first, my God!
Good old romance novel realness.
That is why you don't come in unless someone says to come in.
I adored the first ep of this - it's quirky but in an old school way (it made sense in my head) and I already love the mains. Plus, MGY is a queen as always.
PS Of course we cannot have a drama however romcom or quirky without terrible parental figures:
Per ML's memory, granny is...well...should not be in charge of a plant let alone a person.
I'm on my fourth Woman Married a Loser and Tried Her Best but Died for It and Now She's Back drama (Marry My Husband, Blossom, The Double, Perfect Marriage Revenge) and I love it, I love it, I love it. Because you can feel the feminine rage radiating from the screen. These women swallowed the lie that they were the problem in their marriage. They forgave and excused and bent over backwards just like society told them to and it didn't work. It was never going to work. In the end, nothing they did mattered and their precious lives were still seen as disposable. And now they are back and they are furious and it's great.
Omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Baek Sa-eon: Don't show anyone that you can talk until this kidnapping thing is cleared up. For safety.
Baek Sa-eon is in danger
Hong Hee-joo: EVERYONE LISTEN UP, WE ARE GOING TO FIND MY HUSBAND
baek sa-eon: reveals big family secrets
baek sa-eon: BUT THAT’S NOT IMPORTANT. YOU CAN BASH ME OR MY FAMILY ABOUT THIS, THE HELL I CARE. MY ONLY PRIORITY IS FINDING MY WIFE AND LIVE HAPPILY WITH HER. THAT SHOULD BE YOUR PRIORITY, TOO.
he really spent five seconds exposing his family secrets and five hours publicly confessing and begging everyone to help him find the loml.
he’s like, “i can handle all these issues and problems, but i need my wife by my side first.”
This is one of my favourite scenes, when the CEO brags about recruiting Gong Tae-seong but it's just a string of failures. First he hands him the card, and the camera pans to the huge stack of cards
and then he's all, "You don't have to be smart to be a celebrity"
Then he's like, "Money?"
Dude lives in a mansion:
The best part is, we find out later that he didn't even recruit Tae-seong in the end, he just bugged him enough that when Tae-seong wanted to become an actor he went to the CEO first.
(Also, Tae-seong in high school! Is it weird that he's following a high school student around everywhere? Or that the CEO was even at a high school in the first place?)
