//Holy hellâŠfive years. Where has the time gone?
UmâŠhello? If you remember me, I was the mun of this account⊠Iâve had a lot going on and I think Iâm finally ready to come back to the account. So I have a plan for that and that is to restart the deterioration event and start fresh.
In the five years that Iâve been gone, my writing has gotten a lot better so the plan is to completely rewrite all of the musings for the story and then start over from where I think would be a good location to begin the event again. I know that people have probably lost interest in this account, but I promised a friend that I would complete this whole event. In my depression and a lot of other things going on in my life, I wasnât able to so I intend on restarting the entire event and I intend on working it through this time.
Please be patient with me as I continue the process of rewriting everything. In the meantime, please feel free to ask questions or send in request and things like that and I can try to write them.
Thank you so much for reading this far and if there are Roleplayers who once wrote with me that still want to, please leave a like or send an ask!
This month has literally been hell for me. From the extreme stress of lack of work to the extreme stress of my boss suddenly taking a three-month emergency leave of work. Itâs been crazy and all Iâve done is drown myself in self-loathing instead of working on the event. Itâs been a year, and I want to complete this event not only for all of you but for myself also.
I have been battling with myself about starting to write this and itâs not like I donât want to but there is a strong shame to my work that Iâm steadily pushing past to attempt to give everyone the content they deserve. Right now? Itâs feeling like a class paper that I decided not to do until the last minute. No way these things are going to be as long and as powerful as I was hoping for, causing them to bleed out into next month. Iâll have to hold off on any other activities until itâs completed. Letâs hope I can do without the stress relievers in the meantime because I know Iâm going to be in a terrible mood for the next couple of weeks. And then thereâs the next open world for Warframe coming out next month.
I had originally planned for this to not be too crazy, and it kind of did its own thing over time. Adding a lot of character development and a lot of pressure to complete this. Now, d-donât worry. I donât intend on quitting. I want you all to know how this turns out for Ennis. And for Vox and Bishop since I left you all on a cliffhanger. Iâm really sorry about that . . .
Uh hi, folks! I know I havenât completed the event, but life has been kind of positive but also with its ups and downs as well. Well, since the holiday season of Halloween is upon us, I really should get back to last yearâs Halloween event and attempt to finish it. Work was getting really well, but around this time it always slows down right before Halloween and into the Black Friday/Blue Saturday season. So Iâll have a lot of time to complete this story and everyone can see how this concludes!
I feel like a Fanfiction writer that leaves a story not updated for a year and expect people to still be on board :/Â
But donât worry! Vox and the others arenât out of the woods yet!
I just wanna say, Bitten, you're absolutely amazing and make me Smitten! (puns amirite) But on the serious side of things, your writing is as beautiful as I remember and it means a lot to see you still buzzing around being absolutely AWESOME!!! Time flies when things carry on without ya, but maybe one of these days I can show you how much you mean to me as a friend and a guiding character in my life. Above everything else I want to say one thing. I'm so sorry. And I should have said so sooner.
Wait, wait, wait! WHO SENT ME THIS!? TRISTAN!? KURA?! KELLY!? WHO IN THE HECKY IS THIS?! I DEMAND ANSWERS!Â
A-as for the kind words, I really appreciate them. As for being a guiding character, I donât know if thatâs me, but I certainly try to be a good person when I can be. Hhhhhh how did I not how this was here. Iâm grinning ear to ear! It means so much to me that you feel Iâm a good writer! I try my best though. Donât let it fool you. Even Iâm still growing as a writer and I feel bad because I have been in a nasty slump these days with Vox. But fear not! Heâs been waking up lately which means I can soon get back to the event that I had to place on Hiatus and reply to people that have been waiting on me! All of my asks will be answered and I will try my best to get to everyone! Eheheh. . . . of course, I may be dead inside after this week. I have a 36 hour week coming up due to two of our Managers going to SDCC this year for work. Fear not though! I will try not to burn myself out on top of everything else too!
Due to some personal problems, I'll be putting the event on hiatus until further notice. No worries, I will continue and end the event but there are things that I need to do in order to get the focus needed to complete this event. For those that really like Ennis, I will allow people to talk to them as if the event is over. I know that people like the character, making me quite happy. Apologies for the event hiatus
Arthur rubbed at his face to clear the perspiration as he worked, smearing grease against his cheek in a small black streak. He had just finished using an old trick heâd learned, to get the dents out of one of the androidâs legs. Heâd carefully replaced the synthetic skin heâd needed to remove to get to the hard skeletal frame beneath, making sure the skin was as seamless as possible. Â
He wasnât paying full attention to the androidâs face, tinkering now with some exposed wires across the left pectoral. He jumped nearly a mile when there was a whirring sound he didnât expect, like a soft hum of life, and he jerked back the wrist with his soldering iron. Had he hit something he hadnât meant to there?Â
His flinch intensified when the android spoke, whipping his head up to look at their eyes; they were a little higher placed than his own eight, still hooked against the wall because they were unable to hold themself up. Maybe heâd finally managed to fix the problem that kept the android from coming online. It was looking at him from itâs perch. He swallowed, a tad nervous.
âUh, wellâŠ.Iâm not really your owner, um- Vox. But my name is Arthur. Arthur Kingsmen.â He had the odd inclination to reach out and shake their hand, but held it in, given they were currently hooked to the wall. Instead he started working to free them. âUhâŠ.do you knowâŠ.erm- what was the last date you have logged? Do you know how long youâve been powered down?â
The android was surprised when the other flinched at his speaking, eyes changing a vibrant cyan color at his own surprise before moving back a little. He hadnât expected to wake up in such a manner. The last thing he remembered was being tired and falling asleep. When was that? 2,372.5 days. His attention remained on the other, noticing his change in heart rate. Was he nervous? There were more questions than answers to be had before the other introduced himself.
Vox took a moment, listening to Arthur as he spoke, registering his vocal range before blinking and giving him his full attention as he was released from the wirings that hooked him to the wall. It took him a minute to register his answer, his systems still warming up from their previous chill.
âLast log date was 1,820 days agoâ He stated flatly. âLast charge was 2,555 days ago. Would you like to hear the last audio log recorded?âÂ
Vox continued to study the mechanic closely. He couldnât exactly move at the moment, so he wasnât able to turn his head completely to face him. There was a shift of gears as he rose one hand curiously, examining the way his own joints moved. They moved fluidly like normal human hands. If the other hadnât gone through and looked at all the dents he had, one would think he was a normal human.Â
Quick note here. I do apologize for not updating at a sooner date. I wanted to thank @crosshonneonna and @arthur-tristan-kingsmen for the help looking this over before posting! I will be coming back to these. 6 or 7 more installments are coming out, but feel free to send in asks related to the event again as I will be answering them once more!
âWhy are there two of you?â Ennis asked as they looked at the pair beings standing beside one another. One of flesh and the other of spirit. Both appeared to have the same face, same build, same eyes. There was little difference between them aside from their respective current states and how they carried themselves.
There was a long pause while the two officers in question got a better look at one another.
âThis cannot be happeningâ The spirit muttered as he floated around the physical form quietly. âI knew I felt something, but I didnât exactly expect it to be this bad.â
âThis is bad?â The physical man scoffed. âAnd what are you supposed to be? My conscience?â
âThat doesnât answer my questionâ Ennis muttered as they watched the two while they examined one another.
âAh. . . right.â Kelseyâs spirit righted himself so he could stand beside his physical form once more. âI donât think this should come as a surprise with your ability, but . . . you seem to have pulled me apart.â
âI told my son that, but he-â
The specter shot a glare to his living mirror.
âHonesty, am I really like that?â The ghost seemed genuinely worried. âIt would seem my father rubbed off on me more than I would have liked. . .â
âThere. . . There canât be two of you,â Ennis said. âThere has to be some ... some sort of scientific law that negates the philosophy that there can be two of you.â
âBig words for such a small one,â the physical officer stated.
âI learn a lot from the doctors and Vox. Not that you would know.â Ennis muttered under his breath.
There was a long pause between both forms of Kelsey. Ennis gripped the armrest of their wheelchair and studied the two of them. Some kind of law had to make sense here.
They knew they could pull over one person. It took a lot of energy, but it was doable. The proof was in the previous abomination that ran out on them. What didnât make sense is how there were two forms of the same person before them. Could they have split them apart? Or was there a different science in this?
âThis whole thing doesnât make any sense.â Ennis felt the cool hand on their shoulder, seemingly attempting to soothe them.
âThis whole spectacle is just as curious to me,â the presence mused.
âStopâ Ennis frowned as they held their head in frustration. Why were they still trying to play this card?
âEnnis. . .â The presence sang in a soft sing-song voice leaned her head by Ennisâs ear. âDear heart. . . Unless your father has a twin. One of them is a fake.â
âHow dare you suggest that to him-â
âThem.â She corrected the officer. âTheyâve already told you once, officer. I thought you had to be good at following directions for such a rank. Although... â
Kelsey clenched his jaw as he glared at the green figure. The fact that it was so close to Ennis made him uneasy. And to insult him, let alone put these thoughts into Ennisâ head. It bothered him. This thing had made an appearance before and made all the spirits restless.
What did it want?
Even Cive warned him to be cautious of it. If there was one thing that ex-outlaw was good at, it was reading a situation. Heâd credit him for that much. His thoughts were broken when the figure said something that made him nearly sick to his stomach.
âI wonder if you were following the Irishmanâs orders, even in death?â
âHOW DARE YOU EVEN IMPLY THAT I WOULD EVEN WORK WITH THAT BASTARD?!â Kelsey snapped, now completely fixated on the larger figure.
âBefore he died, nothing was stopping you from seeing Ennis. You could have come to see them. Be their beacon of comfort for all those lonely years.â She moved from behind Ennis to float by their side. Almost putting herself between Ennis and their father. âSo what excuse do you really have, coward?â
âYou have no right to assume anything, you monster!â Kelsey snapped back, âYouâre acting as if youâve been any better! Sapping the life out of others and using it for your own personal gain! And these fools have been listening and following your word because theyâve gotten desperate!â He glared at the shadows in the room who remained quiet, watching the scene unfold.
âThat still doesnât excuse the actions.â The presence studied both versions of Kelsey, âGaslighting is unbecoming of an officer.â
Kelsey chewed on his lip as he glared at the figure before looking to Ennis when they made a strained noise of annoyance.
âWhy are you talking about me like Iâm not here?!â
âEnnis, I-â
âNo!â Ennis glared at the officer. âIâve had it with you. Both of you!â
âEnnis, please. Let me-â
âLet you what? I think you did enough to prove that I donât matter to you.â They held their head in their hands. Hot tears spilled into their palms as the presence cool hands rested on their shoulders. âI never mattered to you. . . .â
âThatâs not true!â
âYOU TOLD ME THAT YOU NEVER BOTHERED TO SEE ME BECAUSE YOU. WERE. DEAD.â Ennis yelled. âI saw everyone but you. All the scientists. All the dead abominations. I even saw the man who wanted to hurt me!â
Kelsey fell quiet, his heart leaping into his throat as he watched Ennis.
âBut I never saw you. I never even heard your voice. Even when I was screaming for help. Because I was in pain. Because the other spirits swarmed me. You werenât there. You were never there.â
âEnnis... â
âBut she was!â
Kelsey froze at the last sentence. His eyes darted up from Ennis to the green creature behind him. âEnnis, sheâs not-â
âSheâs nothing like you! She was there for me. She helped me. Sheâs more of a parent than you ever will be!â
âEnnis, sheâs not-â
âSheâs not what? Ignoring me like you conveniently did for how long?â
âSheâs nothing like us! Sheâs using you and you donât even know it!â The physical figure took a step forward, glaring at the figure in front of his child. âYouâre going to wind up dead if you keep listening to her!â
âEven if I do wind up dying, at least then I wonât have to hear your excuses anymore!â They shouted.
âDonât you dare talk to me like that! Iâm your father!â He roared.
âYouâre nothing!â Ennis snapped back as they struggled to hold back more of their tears, eyes flickering to gray. âYouâve never been anything to me because you never tried until you thought you could just suddenly walk back into my life!â
âEnnis! You need to understand that we didnât want this for you! None of it!â The spirit looked at the woman that remained between them and Ennis. Would Ennis listen? He wasnât sure, âI was so afraid of hurting you again. I donât know what the doctors put in your head, but I never wanted this for you.â He assured.
âHow do I even know if youâre telling the truth?â Ennis asked as they hugged themselves. âWith all the lies Iâve heard from you, how can I trust your story is true now?â they asked
âWhy would I lie to you? I have no reason to lie.â the spirit assured.
âBut you also have no reason to tell me the truth either,â they muttered as they looked at their green guardian.
âWhat about her then?â The physical Kelsey gestured to the tall figure, âWhat good comes from her? She could be lying.Sheâs just as likely to be dishonest with you as we areâ
Ennis clenched their jaw and held their head, a jolt of pain rushed through it with the force of how tight they were holding it. Memories of Vox flooded his head, still wondering where he could be at the moment and his safety. Too much going on and it was starting to stress them out. Mixed with the anger, they couldnât bring themselves to control the outburst of energy as a white light expelled from their being, âJUST GO AWAY!â
Before either the spirit or the physical form of the other knew it, the two were thrown from the room, the door denting as the physical figure hit it on his way out.
Ennis let out a shaking breath as the energy dispersed, their body relaxing as their eyes returned to their chocolate hue. All was silent, confusion spreading over their features as his eyes widened. The spirits in the room began to whisper now, stunned by the sudden outburst from Ennis.
âI didnât know you could do that, dear heart,â the presence said as she turned to face them.
â. . . . I didnât know I could either. . . â
âHmm, I wonder if you can do it again? Try it on the rest of them.â She gestured towards the other spirits, âHave a clear room and a peace of mind.â
Ennis turned the wheelchair just slightly toward her line of sight to look at all of the lingering spirits.
Ennis watched as they began to move, trying to get out of range of whatever was used to get rid of the unfortunate officers. Ennis took a deep breath as they felt the energy course through them while the woman in green took a few steps away from the Abomination.
She watched in curiosity as they gathered energy toward themselves, their eyes turning gray again as they clenched their jaw, before letting out a breath that escaped like the fire they had emitted before. There was a blinding explosion of white-yellow blaze that rushed toward the figures on the opposing sides of the room, sending them away, and leaving the space silent.
Ennis took a few shaky breaths after, choking on air before their head slumped. Quietly did the woman in green watch them, gently placing a hand on their back. Looking where the spirits had once been, she smiled slightly in amusement.
âEverything will be alright, dear heart. Rest for now,â she placed her hand over Ennisâs head. She ran her ethereal fingers through their hair, or rather, she imitated the affectionate gesture as if she could touch them. The green woman leaned in close to give the teenaged a light peck on their head, Â âWe will begin our lessons once you wake.â
Cive struggled to breath as the shadows swarmed him, strangling the life out of him while trying to tear him apart at the same time. Their roars and growls were loud in his ears as he tried to break free.
So, this is how it ends? Cive asked himself as he felt his head swimming. I still have so much I wanted to do. . . hell, even in death, things could have gone better.
He flinched as he felt one of his arms dislocate, trying to resist screaming. He wasnât going to give them the satisfaction of hearing him in pain.
The kid could have gotten so much more attention. . . Maybe if I was just a little more responsible, he wouldnât be in this predicament. . . but his love for helping others amazes me. Hah. . . even those smaller than him. Always helping someone.
His thoughts were starting to wander when he noticed a bright light. Looking toward the direction, he heard the amalgamation of confused noises from the shadows before the light shone brighter.
There was a mix of screams and hisses that escaped the shadows before the Empyrean was released to the floor. He landed on his dislocated shoulder, hissing in pain. Looking up at the shadows, he watched them struggle with the blinding light that seemed dispel them, leaving the other in stunned silence.
He sighed before getting to his feet, gripping his shoulder as he quickly escaped the silence that fell over the room. He had to find Kelsey and get back to his son as fast as possible. This was not the time to be twiddling thumbs. If the spirits were getting stronger, then something had to be happening that involved Ennis, right?
I need to finish this event to get back to the things I love. . . Starting to miss DFO and I missed quite a few events that could have helped my characters a lot . . . Looks like I should get to work even with this headache.
send me a àč and my muse will roll the dice to see what task they have to perform. [nsfw]:
my muse willâŠ
kiss your muse.
Lewis looked at the dice and then looked at Vox allowing a grin to curl his lips as he gently caught the underside of his chin with a large finger, directing his head upwards towards him. The ghost slowly closed the gap between them as glowing dual-colored eyes never took their eyes off the white-haired male. Finally, heâd leaned in so much that their lips were mere centimeters apart and stayed like that for a couple of moments before he breathed against Voxâs lips in a low whisper, â Well.. the dice say to kiss you..â
And then, he seemed to consider something allowing their lips to brush just the slightest bit before he moved his own away and decided to let his lips touch skin on the very corner of Voxâs lips. He chuckled and pulled away completely then shooting the other a wink.
Vox looked down to the dice when they ended their roll. Almost instantly he knew that Lewis was instantly amused by the turn of events. Here Vox was hoping to learn something about the other or make a joke for a later time. Before he could say anything though, he felt the finger below his chin and looked up at Lewis, teal eyes shifting blue in their curious haze. His sight faltered for a moment as he felt hot breath against his lips.
Waiting for the expected kiss, he shivered at the gentle brush of their lips before the kiss pressed fully at the corner of his lips. When Lewis pulled away, his eyes stayed blue for a bit longer before shifting back to teal. Cheeks flushed slightly before he attempted to hide it behind his hat.
âI knew you were going to enjoy this too muchâ He muttered.
Galvyn is very self-conscious about his scars and is very sensitive when people touch/kiss them in fear that he will be judged by them. If itâs a tender moment, he is prone to crying a bit if heâs kind to him.
Vox loves it when people are rough with him since he can heal from most injuries. So long as they listen if he asks them to stop, he has no complaints.
đ Because Ichimatsu will make Bishop a dirty bastard v:
So this is after Bishop is with Ichimatsu
Bishop enjoys leaving love bites all over Ichimatsu, often running fingers over the clothed bites. BONUS: He likes to pin Ichimatsuâs arms above his head when he starts leaving bites, but often praises his body prior.
Galvyn is a little shy about his female parts, so heâs self-conscious during sex if you donât let him wear his binder. BONUS: Galvyn likes to ride because he has a little more control on top than he does when his back is on the bed.
