Welp, I've been seeing a lot of discourse and confusion over the Alastor Captive Situation so I'm posting my take for the mix, why not.
This theory was mainly formed when rewatching the trailer after Episode 4.
In the trailer Alastor says 'you haven't even proven you're the strongest in hell', To Vox, and when else has he used that kind of phrasing? When talking about his deal with Rosie.
In the park scene he comes up with his plan, which we then discover is-
Alastors first two step plan to prepare to outsmart the 'totally normal sinner' that owns his soul, apparently:
A. Lose a fight with Vox. I've seen some people looking down on Alastor for this, which, have your own opinions, he got absolutely manhandled and it was hilarious, but in terms of powerscaling, it's more of a 'Alastor is weakened' kinda thing then a 'Alastor is weak' thing. He Meant to do that. He knew he was injured and his powers werent working, he went into this fight to lose, he specifically was provoking Vox to piss him off, getting the piss beat out of him was part of the plan, and honestly knowing Alastor's sadomasochist ass could of been partly for funsies with the way he dragged it out until Niffty was in danger and he had to quit playing around, then he got to the actual goal of this fight, which he was going to do from the start, he knew he was going to make this deal the second he left Cannibal Town Park. Which leads to
B. Be taken 'captive' by Vox. This was ultimately his main intention. This was the main purpose of the fight, he manipulated Vox into a situation where he was worked up and full of adrenaline, so that he wouldnt question what Alastor may be getting out of the deal, which, he sure didn't, and it still hasn't occurred to Vox that Alastor is only here because he let himself be. In one move, Alastor is now seated in the heart of the Vees. As a 'prisoner' sure, but he's there, he can see everything Vox does, he can talk to him directly, he can manipulate Vox easily as we see again and again in this episode. It's captured really well in the way he talks to Vox before stating what the deal is, the 'Itty bitty' scene, where all I see is manipulation designed with Vox's attraction to him in mind so he wouldnt Think about it. (Crazy that I can say that in a theory, where I try to stay neutral about shipping but nope, Vox crushing hard on Alastor is canon. Wild times.)
Now all that to say, with his plan clearly being to get close to Vox, and the line from the trailer, here's what I think I saw this episode.
I think Alastor is going to try to make Vox the most powerful sinner in hell, so that Rosie isnt upholding her end of the deal and is forced to either null the contract or give Alastor what he wants. They specifically state during the conversation that the specifics of the deal between Alastor and Rosie is 'You make me the most powerful sinner in hell, and I'll belong to you until I complete The Task.' And the repeated use of that specific wording strikes me.
On top of that, obviously part of Alastor is being a dick about Vox having a team because well, he's a dick, and also because he resents the fuck out of his deal with Rosie, and has a skewed idea of 'partners = hierarchy' so the idea that Vox, someone Alastor actually likes and respects and was starting to see as someone he has equal footing with, a rarity for him, would try to rely on him the way he's forced to rely on Rosie, understandably pisses him off for a whole handful of complicated reasons so dense that I would need a separate post to explain what I think about That. But even on top of all that, I think he's also provoking Vox into the mindset of growing HIS power, instead of the Vees, because that's what he's interested in right now. Vox becoming more powerful. Becoming so powerful that it voids Alastors deal.
Anyway, that's just my take on it, guess I'll see. This all could be proven completely off the wall wrong in like less than an hour but I wanted to get this out before the second half of the season is out just in case I'm right. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
Anyway I was right
Just finished the episodes and I'd like to go in detail about them later but I'd just like to say Alastor is specifically separating Vox from the rest of the Vees and my god is it working, they are doing all the work for him honestly.

My thoughts on Episode 4:
She is....my Muse
I can't get them out of my head fr
I haven't draw in so long (you can tell) but I was struck with absolute brain rot about the differences between Frisk and Kris
After all this time I have returned only to drop two Radiostatic playlists with Vox and Alastors POVS respectively, ranging from canon to straight up delusion. Anyway, enjoy.
The beginning of Vox's isn't very original but it gets better and I mean, come on. Very Vox.
Can't I be gay AND do crimes??
Just died in The Walking Dead to a baby zombie because when it attacked me I thought 'I'm getting Philza'd!' and I was too busy laughing about that to actually fight off the baby zombie
I zone out, see my Dad bobbin his head to the radio so I zone back in and it's Montero
Zenkichi: Wow you guys are really nervous I'll backstab you just cause I'm a cop it's almost like you guys have experience being betrayed by detectives offering you deals lol just kidding that'd be crazy right haha
Joker:
Pretty fake of the devs to not include any actual Akechi mentions when Zenkichi is a walking around looking and acting like that
I wanna see the same game but every time there's uncomfortable parallels to Goro Joker just looks into the camera like The Office
The craziest part of restarting the series both in manga and anime after reading up to the music festival arc is that Purson was actually there the entire time like look at him!
I really never noticed but he's!! right there!!
Seriously, first WandaVision and now The Falcon And The Winter Soldier if those two were This Good I am gonna probably die when Loki drops and I get to see my favorite trickster In His Own Show For Once Haha
