Being a grown woman with depression is very frustrating. I can't stop thinking that I am being childish, or weak. I tend to hate myself easily and give up momentarily of my art. Again, I found a way to climb the dark mountains of my mind and like something about me. I faced my fear of failure and decided to transform each piece of drawlloween on a celebration. I am challenging myself to do each one of the illustrations with the same love, and passion, and dedication. I decided to give all of them a different face of the same thing. I woke up this morning hoping that everything was just a sad dream. But it wasn't. Two days ago we lost the most talented and sweetest of us all. Jesús was only 20 years old and was graduating on the art school of Manresa. A few weeks ago I received this beautiful art from him in return for one I did for his project. We used to talk a little via DM. I cannot describe how much I will miss him and I hope God will confort his family for such a premature death. I have been feeling really upset with my artistic career lately. I made an etsy shop 3 months ago and never sold a thing. I tried to sell a bunch of things here for cheap prices but only one person bought, and I am not exactly a success on the collective events. I also didn't get any commissions since like last year and I don't feel motivated at all to be a illustrator anymore. I want to be part of gallery events, and produce new amazing stuff but I don't have the money to support it anymore. I really wanted to make it work, and I have been trying for the last 5 years with very little success. Saying to me "oh, beautiful art" is not going to be enough support anymore. I live a very humble life, with very few resources. I often have to choose if I buy a pen I need or a shampoo. And I am not talking about fancy stuff, but basic ones. In general I appreciate being simple, but sometimes I feel sad, because I wanted to buy stuff from my fellow artists, or even get a printer. That being said, I threw out a bunch of crappy art I had and made some original bundles with the remaining. Each bundle for 50$, free shipping worldwide! This is my last try. I am tired, and sad, and very blocked. If nothing sells, I will stop trying and art will be only a hobby from now on. I don't want to feel disappointed with my art ever again. After some awful days of indecision I finally had the nerve to start a new project. I was really really wanting to do the #100daysproject thing but I was worried of getting bored during it, so I took a few days doing nothing on my work hours, reading, sleeping and drinking tea and then I had an idea: I will be doing ATCs of my very favorite fandom, and who guess which is?
