TransID is a term referring to being whose identity does not entirely, always, or at all correspond with what society assigns to them. This includes, but is not limited to, their body, abilities, age, race, gender, and species.

I get what you’re trying to say, but I think this is more of a difference in how people define/use transID rather than something being “wrong.”

In radqueer spaces especially, transID isn’t always limited to mismatch with assigned traits. It can also be about how someone personally relates to their identity. That’s where things like cisIDs or identifying “in a trans way vs a cis way” come in.

So someone describing it that way isn’t necessarily misunderstanding, just using a different framework.

There isn’t really one strict rule for how people are allowed to experience or describe their identity.

My cat is my soulmate. We're best friends, we're family. a QPR is probably the closest we have in human words to explain our relationship. We are deeply Bonded <3

I also take care of local strays. I have some that are considered family, some that are just frequent visitors. And, because they are unfortunately an invasive species, I do TNR. Its just the best for everyone. :)
