perhaps it's time to acknowledge that many trans people are desperate to do misogyny towards enben they dislike, and by refusing to work against that inclination it leaves many trans communities hostile to all nonbinary folks.

This is a poem by myself about the linguistic erasure of trans men&mascs from reproductive language, and the feeling of having cis people detach you from your own body parts in order to provide themselves with a sense of comfort, as your body causes them too much confusion, while acting like they are doing you a favor.

Anyway, if you got your head out of your arse you would see that there are so many people who do equate gender to stereotypes, regardless of how much you want to deny that gender has nothing to do with stereotypes, it does for many people. There are many infinitely more eloquent people describing what being trans is like, if you really need links I could probably dig some up.

But personally? I'm just some guy and it's not a big deal. I've been out for almost 9 years, nobody is out here getting kurfuffled cuz a birth certificate I've got in a drawer. I wear my clothes and have my hair long and the only person who wants to still misgender me has already proven an overwhelming desire to cross my boundaries and shows 0 respect for my basic dignity so....

It's almost like people recognize the most *basic* of surface level behaviors and decide they know the core of it from those alone. She's tried to toss literally all of those at me by this point and I care infinitely less what some terf on the internet has to say on the matter

I would love to hear it worded in a way that I can understand, because I still do not understand.

When you are born as one sex or the other, everything you do is an action taken as a member of that sex. So if you are born female and you are an adult and a human, then you are a woman by definition. If you look masculine or feel masculine or do things in a masculine way, it doesn't change your sex. Because there is no "right" or "wrong" way to exist in your own body. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to be a woman or a man.

Saying "I'm just some guy" clears nothing up. How are you just some guy? Do you acknowledge that you are of the female sex? That you are a woman by definition? How does one "feel" like a man? How would you know what it is like to feel like a man when you have only ever occupied a female body?

#it is at best reductive to flatten the experiences of ppl transitioned / transitioning into the strict male female binary you have created #theres no wrong way to be a man or a women. so i was going to be a man. that simple really #i suppose it must be noted that i dont play with prescriptive language when it comes to social phenomenons #i dont care if someone calls me a women. it contradicts my real actual life #my body and my perspective has been recognized as male by the vast vast majority of people ive interacted with and thats good enough for me #talk tag tbd #also edit: plenty of neurodivergent people were neurotypical. probably the majority of nd people were nt at some point in their lives

the sooner that ppl will understand that male privilege can only exist at the intersection of cisgender privilege + perisex privilege the better off we will be. Male privilege exists when a man is free from targeted misogyny, transphobia, and anti-intersex oppressions simultaneously. All other forms of being a man are punished, marginalized, and oppressed.

One of the most accepting corners of the queer community has a problem accepting its own, and it shows.

Written in 2018. So this conversation has been going on for a long time, I guess.

We've got a word for the particular blend of problems that binary transwomen have--transmisogyny. We've got words for the problems sets faced by transmascs, like transandrophobia or transmisandry. At this point, I don't know which one is more accepted.

Is there actually word for the problems faced by people who are genuinely operating outside the binary?

Because the current discourse feels akin to biphobia in a lot of ways, especially if people aren't medically transitioning.
